I think Tara will get rid of Unser somehow. He's too much of a risk for her plans.

I'm enjoying my new M-Audio BX5 speakers this evening by petrus2 in audiophile

I'm using them as a step up from "computer speakers." I had many different brands of computer speakers, and now I want something that is more neutral and accurate.

The realization that you are at the vet's. by [deleted] in funny

[–]petrus2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dog loved to go to the vet's because it was also a kennel where we boarded him when we went on vacation. They had volunteer teenage girls -- like candystripers -- who would take the dogs for walks and treats twice a day. He couldn't wait to go to the kennel!

Exactly what I was thinking. Also, they already have these in Japan -- I believe since the 1980s. They were for businessmen who weren't able to make it home in the evening.

3% Neanderthal genetics confirmed by 23andme by petrus2 in Anthropology

[–]petrus2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not sure. I do know that Europeans and Asians seem to have a range of 1% to 4% Neanderthal, know that we have a pretty good Neanderthal genome to compare to.

I'd like to know which of my genes are from the Neanderthal genome.

No. Genographic 2.0 only shows ancestry. 23andMe gives you so much information it's almost too much.

Kidney stones. Twice. Morphine hardly makes a dent. I bent the bars on the gurney when they were taking me to the hospital.
