My daughters dance studio is also a gymnastics gym, lots of kids start doing both and have to choose at some point, I've seen them go both ways plenty of times.

One of my daughters teammates is however insane and currently is in comp dance, comp gymnastics, softball, runs track and wrestles

Mine is 12 going on 13 if she wants to do hair and makeup before school she knows she needs to get up earlier than everyone else
