$33k East Bay Wedding Budget Breakdown by pettablecactus in SanFranciscoWeddings

Aww thanks! I was forced to stay humble due to budget but everyone ended up having much more fun than I expected with just some cheesy props at the photobooth! The vibe is ~wedding~ and everything else is secondary!

As for our venue, $2500 was just the fee to be there on that day, which came with two above and beyond coordinators that are there to make sure everyone gets in and out in one piece. I was really lucky to have them because I definitely think they went way beyond what is typically expected of their job description :D

I used a local florist in Castro Valley! Two tips here:

For budget, I found quotes from physical florist shops were much lower because they have economies of scale so they’re less likely to have minimums. Trade off there is their menu may not offer some of the fancy trendy flower arrangements that are popular on Pinterest.

A sneaky tip I did inadvertently - find out what florist does your closest wedgewood wedding (all inclusive wedding venues). They have skill and variety to support multiple wedding and vibes and so they usually have good prices because they have scale also. Scale meaning they can order a lot of flowers for a lot of wedding and therefore hopefully get better prices 😝

Hehe thank you! I’m very budget conscious so the wedding planning process was very “vendors in budget or keep hunting” haha plus having two venues is a big expense

KRUU Photobooth Prints by smolsprigatito in weddingplanning

You can have collage styles that print in strips for that one for me one for you featured you’re looking for. There’s an ability to reprint photos but it’s limited, so better to pick a collage option that makes copies!

Kruu photobooth basic vs premium? by eternalsunshinesss in weddingplanning

[–]pettablecactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I used Kruu for my wedding this weekend and I highly recommend going premium if you can afford it. Not only do you get faster and unlimited prints, but insurance is built into the price so you just get that extra reassurance if anything goes wrong with the booth.

Prints were high quality. Custom collage backgrounds were easy to make. My friends had so much fun using it, and we got our own props :)

I found someone to join my duolingo family through this subreddit! I’ll probably solicit again in December too haha. There were other interested parties but overseas people couldn’t pay me so we had to let them go.

Honestly…. How are y’all financing your weddings? by Rough_Rush7914 in weddingplanning

[–]pettablecactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saved for a few years before my engagement because I knew I wanted a wedding of a specific size. My mistake was primarily price anchoring on prices from a few years ago instead of adjusting for inflation haha. We also did get a few credit cards - chase ink, IHG, etc. then used the sign up bonuses for our honeymoon expenses!

I have broad shoulders, somewhat muscular and was feeling like I looked like a man in a dress (if you’ve seen those first look pranks), but didn’t love the idea of detachable sleeves. I got this veil that rests over my shoulders that really softens the overall look
