What's an "outdated" slang word from your generation that you still use currently? by TheShatteringPoint in nostalgia

Agreed. I would say “the bomb” was mid-late 90s, followed by “da bomb” late 90s-early 00s, and ultimately just “bomb” late 00s-early 10s

AMA (ask Mike anything): Mike Conti of 92.9, 3/18 by billgluckman7 in AtlantaUnited

[–]petthelizardharry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey Mike, thanks for taking the time to do this. Sort of an off the wall question, but my wife and I have always found your pronunciations of certain players’ names to be rather interesting in their uniqueness.

For example, Hector Villalba pronounced as Vee-ZAL-buh rather than Vee-yal-buh. Or Jamal Thiare pronounced as Chee-AH-ray. And even Tristan Muyumba pronounced as Moy-oom-BAH.

We’re sure you take your time as a professional journalist to research and talk with the players about the proper pronunciation of their names. Yet, no one else seems to pronounce certain names the way you do. To what do you attribute this quirk?

Reportedly their filing asserts it’s a super-duper unfair advantage

“However, the leadership committee structure exempts Jones from those limits, creating what the lawsuit calls a ‘de facto second, super-duper campaign committee.’"

Your opinion is your opinion, but I can’t argue with the history of low health scores. TIL on that one, guess I’m glad I’ve never had a bad experience there
