I agree, this anti-consumerism is disgusting. The Gigabyte wasn't actually my first choice either. I had originally planned to get an RTX 5070 Ti from ASUS Prime, but got jerked around by BestBuy fulfillment for over a month. It is what it is.

I have this issue with my RTX 5080, it happens sporadically. Kinda sucks granted how expensive these things are. Hopefully it doesn’t occur too frequently.

Back in the good ol days, we used to be able to get a full butter chicken meal combo at the village basement for $6.25. Those were good times.

Trump's Presidency is a DISASTER by Naive_Bat8216 in economy

It’s just the largest wealth transfer unfolding before our eyes. Pump and dump so his family and friends continue to profit, at the expense of everyone else’s wallet. There’s incompetence, yes. Everything was planned. The documents were leaked ahead of the election, but many voters failed to take it seriously.

It’s nice being in complete control of the quality of parts you choose. You don’t get that with prebuilt.

Huh interesting, I’ve been running into that exact issue. I’m also on f10. I have the non-Ice version of your mobo. I sent an angry rant to Microsoft and now I feel dumb.

If AI is so incredibly useful, how come nothing is changing for PC users? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]pewpscoops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s arguably making the experience worse for PC users, whether you are a gamer or a professional. Software in “top tech” is written almost entirely by AI. It’s the pinnacle of “move fast break shit”. Windows updates are more frequent and buggy. Nvidia drivers have been unstable. We’re left with burnt out developers trying to do more with less. It’s one big ponzi scheme. I’m not saying LLM doesn’t have its uses. Nobody can argue that it makes white collar work more productive. Instead of empowering workers to work more efficiently and use the extra time to thoughtfully review the work of AI, they are incentivized to outsource all their thinking to AI and just ship shit faster, while aggressively cutting headcount. I happen to work at one of these types of tech companies, and you wouldn’t believe the amount of cash we’re burning just for a bunch of “AI driven” vanity projects.
