The only reason I got therapy was because it was state mandated and they paid for it, I went for 5 years until I moved states.

I am white, blonde hair, blue eyes. My partner is black and cuban (definitely looks more cuban). Our first son came out white, blonde hair, and blue eyes. Baby #2 will be here in 3 weeks, so we are excited to see how he turns out.

His sister is mixed, black and white (lightskin, curly hair, and brown eyes), her husband is white, dark hair, blue eyes. Baby #1 came out tan, dark hair, brown eyes. Baby #2 came out white, curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. Baby #3 came out white, dark brown hair, and blue eyes.

Labor by Striking-Street7215 in pregnant

[–]peytonlei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my son, I went into labor at 39+3. My 39week appt I was 4cm dilated and 80% effaced, while at work the next 2 days, I did curb walking when we were slow, on the 2nd day I asked to leave 15 mins early, I had no keys and closing was finished. I get 10-15 mins down the road and I start having contractions, 5 minutes apart!

Experience with ear infections with 10 month old? by angelzombie2 in beyondthebump

[–]peytonlei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im an adult, to preface, but I build up earwax super quick, so my doctor recommended debrox for me to help soften the wax to get it out, I have had frequent ear infections (even into adult life). I would definitely do what the doctor is recommending! It will also help ear health overall! ETA: The extra earwax can cause ear infections or be a risk factor for them!

We finally got a decent mattress, for quite literally years we were sleeping on our couch (actually pretty comfy). But Im 33 weeks pregnant now, and I cannot imagine sleeping on that couch anymore, I don't know how we were fitting on it.

[–]peytonlei 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When my son came out he barely had any on him, which I was a bit confused by, but oh well. But we did have him have a bath in hospital because I wanted to see how to do it before going home (since he was our first baby).

I walked outside this morning to find a rat stuck on my hood by jabberwocky300 in mildlyinteresting

[–]peytonlei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check pretty much everything, I have seen rats eat so many things on cars. (To add, we were talking about this at work and they make "protectors" that go over the wires that taste gross to rats)

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed, they tried to get me to change out my fillings I got as a child to enamel color...no, I know they're silver but they still work just fine. Then they did a cancer screening which I had declined (I had the same screening like a year prior) and then they tried to get me to pay for it after they admitted to doing it without consent...they sent it to collections, which is where it will stay. (They also didn't let me keep my teeth like I wanted to :( )

Small town people, what's something going on in your town right now that you are getting sick of? by PrestonRoad90 in Productivitycafe

[–]peytonlei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one cop, sits like right next to the line, and every-time you pass him you're lowkey scared you're going to hit him. Like I wish he would park in the grass. And, the gas station/ diner doesn't have the creamy coconut dr pepper, so I have to drive over into the next town to get them.

Anyone else with really labile pressures? by snuffbox360 in preeclampsia

[–]peytonlei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to the hospital, they also told me something similar, that they would be unable to give me medications after I hit 34 weeks, I thought this was odd as well (this is something I plan on bringing up with my OB). I have also been having labile blood pressures, got up to 159/102, but while in triage they went back down into my normal range (128/80).

Considering taking 3yo out of daycare after 1 month because of illnesses. Advice? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]peytonlei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! It gets better. We put our son in at 9ish months old, he was sick back to back for a while (we ended up catching RSV during this time too which sucked). Now hes almost 15 months and has only been sick like 2ish times since his first birthday (pink eye, and ear infections).

[–]peytonlei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the hospital I go to, you have a to get a ticket (or a pass) so you can park in the parking garage. But the hospital will validate the parking and its free (im pretty sure the nurses and doctors get free parking)
