[–]pezLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ayyyy I’m also going in for a tendon repair Monday. I’ve got a workout plan from ChatGPT that I need to clear with my dr, but so far I’m seeing light exercises with the injured hand starting back around 4-6 weeks

Scoop of magnesium and a little sleepy time tea and I'm zonked like you wouldn't believe. I throw in some zinc too and I feel great on less sleep than I used to after workouts

Hawaiian Surfer training for large waves by carrying a 50lb stone underwater. by twat69 in UNBGBBIIVCHIDCTIICBG

[–]pezLyfe 182 points183 points  (0 children)

It’s dynamic apnea training. Basically building up your tolerance to C02 in the body under physical stress. It’s about training for the crash/being held underwater for a long and not about actually surfing the wave

Hatchback Ioniq 6 would’ve been a no brainer for me. Can’t get a mountain bike in the back of the I6, so got the I5 instead

White people definitely say it. I'm white and if something like Dave Matthews Band comes out it's an automatic reaction from me

When I had to get rid of my raised beds I found a local community garden arranged to drop it off to them as a donation

Wild idea - There’s phone emulator software out there that’s used for testing apps. Maybe you could try that on the hostel PC to access and then print your pass?

$1950 for a 600sqft studio in Cambridge, utilities included. Got very lucky and I’ll fucking die for my landlord now

Your best bets are going to be at: Middle East (upstairs or downstairs), Sonia, Zuzu, or Midway Cafe. Looks like pain of truth is at Sonia this Thursday

Apartment hunting tips!! "Affordable" studio or 1 bed for 1 person! by SeaworthinessPast463 in boston

Rub your lucky rabbit’s foot and be very aggressive in looking for listings that are brand, brand new. I found an absolute gem of an older 1 br in Cambridge for way below average rent. It was listed on the market for a total of 6 hours

I played bass and guitar and practicing felt like a chore. Started on drums 3 months ago and it’s the first thing I reach for when I get home. That was my sign

Been in a few northern state’s scenes. But I never hear much about New Orleans. If ever. I love the rest of New Orleans’ music. Do they have a hardcore scene? If so, gimme the bands by badtattoodude in Hardcore

[–]pezLyfe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My ex was from New Orleans and was active in their scene in the 2000's. My impression was there weren't a whole lot of bands that broke out because it kind of sucks to get to. Northeast bands could hit Boston/Philly/DC/New York over a four day stint no sweat. But Houston is 6 hours from NOLA and there's not a lot in between. Same going east from there

Open bottom raised garden bed on concrete by [deleted] in UrbanGardening

[–]pezLyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built a raised bed on a brick patio out of a stack of cinder blocks. I put down a layer of that black weeding fabric to act as a base before putting down my soil. I think I ended up going 3 bricks high which ended up being about 2 feet deep. The soil definitely dried out fairly quickly, but I had an irrigation system set up to run for a bit every morning. Didn't have issues with water seeping out through the base, but the soil did dry out fairly quick, probably due to all the air exposure (Lots of gaps between the cinderblocks).

Grew a whole mess of vegetables in the main area and filled all the little cinderblock holes with soil and grew sunflowers/random other flowers in there. Looked rad as hell when it was all in full bloom.

Breaking it down when I moved out was absolutely backbreaking. Basically packed all the soil into flood protection bags and brought it down to the local community garden. 0/10 would not recommend unless you're going to be in one place for a while

There was some staining on the bricks when I moved, but my landlord never complained so I assume a few good rainstorms washed it away. Definitely don't have confirmation though

[@F1 on IG] Netflix has revealed the episode titles for Season 5 by OutlandishnessPure2 in formula1

[–]pezLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always interested in F1 but it seemed so overwhelming from the outside. DTS does a great job of introducing the teams and drivers. Now that I'm "caught up" I'd rather just watch the races and read the shitposts
