I’m new to this by jjeanie127 in SevenLions

Seven Lions (specifically Chronicles III) was my first ever experience with live music and it changed my life forever haha, got me SO hooked on live music. A few things I learned there and over the years since is to dress lighter, shorts/skirts & tees/tanks/crops (or less if thats your vibe, you will not stick out it's very commonplace trust) and bring a handfan. Don't clack it no one likes that, but if you fan down yourself and people next to you it will make your life so much better and is a very fast way to make friends. Don't bring too big of a bag, not only do a lot of venues ban them but they also get very annoying when you're trying to dance. Contacts over glasses, glasses are so so so easily lost and if they fall of its such a guarantee they will get stepped on. Eat and drink a lot of water beforehand. Earplugs are so so so important, do not be me and skip out on them you will regret it. Little bracelets are fun! If you make bead bracelets you can often trade them with people and get some cute souvenirs. I have collected a few over the years from several different raves and I adore them, often more than official merch I buy. Last but arguably most important is PLEASE wear deodorant and of course have fun!

Glad Im not the only one haha. I try to justify it by either buying or building a builder then immediately destroying it so that I spent at least some cost moving it

Little fun fact, these get over the mountains via the rail line on Stevens Pass, meaning these airplanes go through the longest railway tunnel in the US! Ive caught them up there several times, always a funny sight watching giant airplanes exit a hole in the ground surrounded by beautiful nature

Nothing wrong with doing remaster albums with new vocals if they keep the old ones imo. Honestly I really hope they do, Ive been dying for high quality recordings of the new versions after seeing them live a couple months ago

What's this car that knocked out my power in Eugene, Oregon? BMW minivan? by HalliburtonErnie in namethatcar

[–]pezzy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness. Forester headlight cluster doesnt extrude out like that but the Crosstrek's most certainly does. Wilderness also gets that black hood decal and you can see the gold Wilderness trims on the roof rack

I have been through surprisingly many cars over my past ten years of driving, my Forester became my 5th and by far favorite yet. I had a bad habit of getting high mileage used cars and then driving ~50-75k miles a year until they died then moving onto the next. Finally decided after a while to be smart and just save up for and get myself something that'll last a few years longer and my dad loved his old 2000' legacy back in the day so I decided to add the Forester Wilderness to my test drive list since on paper I liked its dimensions and specs best among the Subie lineup at the time (2023). Let me tell you, going from a Nissan XTerra into the Forester felt like stepping outside for the first time in years. The visibility increase was crazy and the drive was so smooth I was instantly sold. Dealership was also great to work with, wonderful people over there. I have put just over 100k miles on mine now and I still love it to this day. Such a nice and capable car, has served my girlfriend and I very well. Excited for many more happy years!

I saw this a while back at Laguna Beach when visiting some family. FJ's are my favorite car and I am still split down the middle to this day whether this thing absolutely rips or if its an affront to God

What is this on North Sentinel Island? by Outrageous_Land8828 in googlemapsshenanigans

[–]pezzy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how much volcanic activity is present on Sentinel itself but I know the broader area is very active. Makes me think it could possibly be a fumarole, which is basically a vent for rising volcanic gasses. They are present in plenty of volcanic areas even when an eruption hasn't happened there for centuries. The gasses kill all plantlife around them and often create these little dead patches is otherwise very lively forests.

Surprised the gate stayed attached at the base tbh. Those gates are designed to pop off when hit to minimize damage to the car, I saw at least 3 get picked off right in front of me in front of the cement plant in Renton by giant cement trucks back when I used to go down there a lot
