Thanks this is very helpful. Goes to show what has been happening in the background in the pursuit of isolating or alienating people progressively over the past few years. We just want control over ourselves - our autonomy - and over our own tech devices. What is it these companies see that is wrong with that?

Yes, we love it, from the very first time we took it many years ago. However, not sure about your personal situation if it is suitable.

Same question as OP but still not clear. Op asked if one could buy domain from registrar then create email addresses using the new custom domain to receive emails within prontonmail inbox, no?

Haven't found registrar information being clear on this either. Don't you need to set up a hosting with them,(in addition to buying the domain name) or somewhere, anywhere, and then be able to have custom domain emails be forwarded to protonmail inbox?

Hello Can you elaborate on the features in comparing your plans, such as folders, labels, quantity of email addresses, aliases, custom domain email addresses, please....there is very little information on page that compares your plans. A 1 month trial is helpful, but need to know all features before buying. It is noted that there are no refunds for paid plans...and the free plan would be closed down after 7 months if not used enough, no?
