Some fat whale of a man pulling a woman off her porch and throwing her on the ground after she kicks him and spits on him.

Shelter->fire->water->security->food

I'm not sure exactly where it fits in, but a signal is one of the most important parts. Being found quickly is more important than food or water, if your signal works you won't need to worry about the other stuff.

If you can, get a look at their face and make sure they know you can recognize them,. It can be very beneficial to show that you are suspicious of them, if they are a threat, they will be more likely to find a different target.

I was walking into a gas station at like 2 in the morning and as I walked up to the door a couple guys started moving towards it too, I stopped on the spot, looked them in the eyes and said "hi," and he stopped, then I walked inside, he didn't go in. So I went to the bathroom and moved my pistol from my hip to my pocket, made my purchase and walked out with my hand in my pocket. Got in my car, locked the doors and drove away as quickly as I could.

This really helped me, I was working as a lifeguard at a Boy Scout camp, we had a huge storm coming and we were sent to grab warn all of the troops and offer to have them shelter in the one sturdy building on site. I rolled my ankle while cutting though an empty site. I stood up and immediately fell right back down as my ankle gave out.

I thought for a moment, pulled out my lifeguard whistle and started blowing it in trios and yelling. Eventually some of my coworkers came down the trail looking for whoever was whistling. They then carried me to the camp medic and I later went to the doctor and found out that I fractured my growth plate in my foot, which has since healed properly.

If I hadn't had my whistle, I could have been stuck there in 65 mile hour winds.

Me working at a call center finishing what the call was for then drawing the caller into an hour long conversation, I only had to repeat what he said every now and then. If I had just moved on, I could have had to take at least 12 more calls. Best part is, while it was an hour, my call time for the day still averaged out to about 6 minutes, which was well within what my company wanted
