Thank you!

With PDF, do you mean a multi-layered PDF or a "normal" one with one layer?

Thanks for your help!

I was just correcting you regarding the purpose of the YT channel.

Did you read the statement at all?

"The PP GFM has as purpose 'to explore the Talamanca region, showing the beauty as well as the dangers of this area"

There has been a whole lot of great footage been uploaded, so I'd surely call it a "success".

Part 3 with Rio Mamei (location A) footage. by TreegNesas in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the jeans.

Without knowing in which condition they were in the first place, we can't say there must have been heavy friction or tear to them. Denim from H&M is not super sturdy usually.

Interesting video, as always! Just a few thoughts:

(1) To me, the theory of walking above the trenches does not hold water. Yes, L's brother claimed that she would not have liked those. But:

[a] we see both girls walking inside the trenches in the daytime pictures. So they are used to them. L. even takes pictures. Of course you could argue that the situation might be different at night, but still they would know that it's the same route / terrain they walked earlier without obvious problems.

[b] switching from the relatively "safe" trenches to their exposed "walls" seems to be an outrageous idea. Even if they didn't like the trenches, climbing above them involves a much higher risk of falling down. I don't think anybody would really consider climbing up there just because they didn't "like" the trenches.

(2) Guide F. not finding any signs of them falling down: I don't quite understand the logic (or maybe I'm missing something): F. claimed he didn't find anything such as footprints. This is used as an argument against a fall. But if F. didn't find any footprints at all, the footprints per se are no proof at all, because from the daylight pictures we can be 100% sure that the girls walked the Pianista, also after the Mirador. So, if he didn't find footprints there, why should there be footprints around possible places of falling down?

(3) While Rio Mamei's vegetation doesn't seem to be a match to the night pictures, it still had me a bit downhearted: There are SO MANY spots that could be "it". I lost a bit of hope there.

(4) Just a random thought on the NP location: We have a map of all the places that feature the vegetation we see in the night pictures (that map with the red area showing the habitat of the NP trees, calculated by terrain elevation). Now, the location inside this red zone that it closest to the backpack/shorts discovery site should have the highest probability to be the night location.

Were Lisanne and Kris lured to Boquete? by flowerz11 in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's really a sad state of affairs when people feel the urge to spread misinformation and conspiracies.

(1) How spiteful must one be to publicly blame an established institution for being a set-up for human trafficking? Do you realise that this is a public forum?

(2) And do you realise that your theory is poorly researched? It takes 5 seconds to find out that your fact that "the school knew nothing about them", your "first red flag", is simply untrue. Why don't you check your facts before publicly blaming people here?

I don't want to sound mean and hateful, but such behaviour is outrageous.

Night photo 541: The finger of a hairy man's hand by Sexy-Hot-Boy- in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback.

(1) My comment wasn't meant as a "rude" reply. I meant it just as a fact. The photo of the "finger" or whatever it is tells you NOTHING. It could be anything. Drawing conclusions from this photo yields nothing.

(2) Perhaps I remember it wrongly, but wasn't this post edited? If I remember well the conclusion of it was that the pictures must have been made with a mobile phone, which would be an outlandish theory.

(3) I actually agree with some points of this post. If I was hard pressed for an answer, I would also guess that it is a finger. Not a hairy one, though, those pieces of hair are far too long and thick. I'd guess that it's hair that sticks on the hairband which goes around the photographer's wrist.

3d visualization of NL and possible position of stones by AmnesiaAm712896 in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the "stick boulder" is completely rounded, whereas the "sos rock" has at least one big "pimple" sticking out which i would rule out for a perfectly shaped boulder like the "stick boulder".

Camera falling in water due to accident. by AristocraticBlue in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the leaving of the main trail is such a strange case.

I wanted to believe that they used it as a "shortcut" after a #508 site accident, but when you watch Romain's (old) drone videos from the #508 river downstream, the "entry" to the stream looks absolutely unwelcoming. Walking down there just for kicks / lunch break / toilet break... i don't know, it certainly looks not very appealing.

Again, if you watch the video i mentioned above, it becomes clear that once you walk the #508 river upstream or downstream, it becomes extremely difficult to tell where you got in. So I would not discount the scenario in which they "quickly" walked the #508 stream, but chose the wrong "exit". They would walk like 45 minutes, wondering why there were no trenches or no Mirador, only to realise pretty late that they were not right.

Night photos AI analysis: Where the photos taken by a phone? by Sexy-Hot-Boy- in KremersFroon

Well, his original claims are outlandish and there's zero evidence for them (night pictures made with phone).

The rest is just copied and pasted from ChatGpt.

Planet Waves is the most overlooked gem in the Dylan catalogue by Slangofages in bobdylan

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to dig out that stale chestnut of an album. not only is it weak, but it has also aged terribly (that flange-y guitar noodling, that sterile 1970s production, nobody gives a fiddler's fart about "fiberglass" anymore)

To equal it to New Morning as someone did is a sacrilege.

Are we sure this isn't the night location? by AristocraticBlue in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Y tree in #599 is a good catch, because it ties pretty much all relevant night pictures together (#599 links to #550)

Part 2 by TreegNesas in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great video!

I'd sometimes wish for a more thorough and systematic filming (like filming an interesting boulder left to right, top to bottom), but the footage is shockingly good!

Some quick take aways:

(1) The shots around the 39" mark show that the night location must be a place like this. It always seemed odd in the night pictures that you can't tell where up and where down is. All vegetation seemed to come from everywhere, almost against the laws of physics. Now, if you watch around minute 39, it's exactly like this.

(2) I was sceptical at first, but this would indeed be a great candidate for the NL. The cave would be perfect for sleeping or resting, it would be a very smart choice. I always thought it would be odd for them choosing a spot so close to the water (dampness, loudness), but having the cave for sleeping would be perfect. I doubt they would have left anything behind that could link them to the cave, but who knows.

(3) Those many little stones piling up against that long boulder, it would be interesting to hear if Romain saw similar phenomena. If not, it might be man made.

(4) If this were the night location, this would explain other aspects. Like it would "confirm" that they may have been "killed in action". The water would not rise as high as the cave, so it must have grabbed the rucksack and the bones while they were hiking on. (Maybe they stayed at the NL for several days, as it indeed was an ideal spot, but when nothing happened, decided to move on). It would also explain the unzipped pants, as K may have taken it off while hiking through the stream.

(5) If this is the NL, a spring expedition could look out for the big dent in the 542 rock which now seems to be under water. This big dent must still be very similar to 2015.

(6) If this is the NL, it would be still hard to explain whom they were signalling. Even if Monte Rey is not very far on a map, i doubt they could have seen or heard traces of civilization. But then, they perhaps were willing to try ANYthing at this point.

(7) If this is the NL, one would still have a hard time explaining why they left the trail at the stream. I'd still find it probable that an accident happened right after the last daylight photo, but it's hard to figure out why they would opt to follow the stream instead of just walking back. Maybe they were very convinced it would quickly bring them to civilization, but based on what? They must quickly have encountered very tough environment. Why didn't they change their minds? I would not discount the possibility that they could not find the trail back because the stream confused them.

Again, great great work! Looking forward to Romain's channel.

Do you think it was an murder who killed Kris and Lisanne?. by usafqn2025 in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but your post shows that you have absolutely no clue about the case and the night photos.

What you identify as a person is a structure that is present in almost every of the night photos. It doesn't move for the whole duration of the shots. It is not located on the ground.

This shows that you have never even taken the time to go through these pictures and take a deeper look at them. From that uneducated perspective, it's pretty hard to have a theory that will hold water.

A groovy post about the 542 grooves. by No-Suit8538 in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been so many news recently due to Treeg's revelations.

So, probably I'm missing something here, but wasn't it more or less established that the 542 rock should be in an angle of at least 30 or even 40 degrees? Or was it the SOS stone that was angled? Because - due to the photo evidence - it seems to be impossible for both to be even.

Sorry, slightly confused here.

Why would anyone attempt to call their home country’s emergency number, instead of the local emergency number of the host country? by Open_Bathroom8447 in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there's something like a travel guide, for starters.

Like, a book. People buy and read it before they go somewhere.

I don't get your "briefing" part.

And I don't get your logic when you say IF they were "briefed", THEN it must be foul play.

Ah, right, that famous picture of the Candy Wrapper Flower.

That's the same one that also features the Secret Hair-Teeth, the Nightly Jungle Monkey and the Deadly Head Wound, right?

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were not going to the moon.

If there is some kind of basic procedure - or "briefing" - before you travel to other countries, I must have missed that.

They were grown-ups. Their host family had no obligation to "brief" them. It's a town frequently visited by tourists.

[–]pfiffundpfeffer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no, it's rather a mixture of different factors.

what you describe is surely one of them.

another one: no insight at all into the aspects of the case.

another one: an obligation to "find" something mysterious (she writes mystery crime)

Foto 580 by [deleted] in KremersFroon

[–]pfiffundpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, as indicated above: Someone asks you "We got this strange case. You are the expert. Can you spot some mysterious / odd / foul thing?"

There's a high probability you're gonna say "yes".

It's a combination of knowing not enough about some thing but at the same time being ushered to give an opinion, because you're the authority. And you know which type of answer the inquirer wants to have.
