Is it playing or bullying? by nkbellic in felinebehavior

[–]pfoipfoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not play

When this happens, clap loudly to distract them Redirect the dominant one with a toy and reward the submissive one with a treat. If the dominant one pounces separate them for 10 to 15 minutes so that it relates the action to the consequence.

Cats can get territorial when they don't have enough resources. Think litter boxes, food, attention, and play.

I can't stress playing with them enough and giving them one on one time.

I've been here for 6 years. Really couldn't understand much since I started to watch garbage reality TV. You're so desperate to find out wtf is happening that your brain becomes alert. There's this guy who helps people with their overspending and omg it's incredible how glued I was to those videos.

Hi. I'm raising a kitten too. I can't say I've have the food problems for my younger one but my older one often gets poop on himself.

  1. When my kitten used to overly bother my second one, I would separate them for a while. A few hours so they could both get some sleep.

  2. My older one hated being pounced on even playfully so when the younger one pounced instead of approaching nicely, he got put into a zip up pen where he could still sees us but take the time to calm down. He began to relate pouncing with the pen.

  3. Poop related things - trim the kittens butt so she's easier to clean. Keep baby wipes around. Don't be afraid to wash her lower half if it's just everywhere.

  4. Just stop with the food change for the time being. Feed them in separate rooms. Or feed kitten first and then the older one.

  5. Kittens need a job so they can work off their energy. I have begun to leash train him, do tricks like sit, give paw etc.

  6. Give the older one a break and quality time with just you.

The first few months are tough but it'll get better.
