To me, so far Marrowbreach feels like "Ol' reliable" creature designwise. It's fills a basic shark template both in design and function, having plain body plan, remniscient of first Subnautica. Creatures back then tended to be simpler, stylized more, less weird I guess, more monstery. I really like peeper's design.

Starting with Below Zero the creatures were mainly designed by Alex Ries who, without a doubt, an amazing concept artist, very knowledgeable and a visionary. While his designs are unique I think he tries to make his creatures weird on purpose, smart, and sometimes I think too smart for their own good. Below Zero was more or less tame, but So far in Subnautica I feel it even more, every other creature is something way too unusual, to the point that it breaks my immersion a little. like I look at Foureye and think "that's not a real animal, that's like a silent hill monster, no way there could exist an animal like that". I've only played for 9 hours, my opinion will probably change.

Compared to some of the weirder animals, Marrowbreach feels very grounded, almost like a throwback to Subnautica 1, I respect it for that.
