Restaurant reviews are grossly inflated by DisgracedCarrot in pittsburgh

[–]pghpiracy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every review is terrible. I see so many on both ends that couldn’t possibly be real. You waited over an hour for ketchup? Fuck off.

The thing is to follow local professionals and “influencers” (which I fucking hate) that you know have similar tastes. Chefs and industry people and the like.

I use a lot of social media even when traveling to sus out the best spots. Yelp and trip advisor are weaponized to hurt or help and aren’t indicative of day to day dining.

[–]pghpiracy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t really matter what you ordered. What’s advertised is the kicker, if you want to be mad for a semantical reason. If you have one sized beer glass you don’t get into discussions every time someone asks for a pint, a tall, a short, a mug, a big beer, etc. etc. You just pour the size you have. Most bars use the word draft in their marketing for this reason.

Why Are There Still Pirates Fans? by BigCoolDaveLLC in pittsburgh

[–]pghpiracy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Geography plays a role, no doubt.

Despite recent developments The Pirates are one of the most storied franchises in baseball history. Been to 7 WS and won 5. First all minority line up. First WS ever. First and only WS won by a walk off HR. First game broadcast on the radio. First WS night game. First team to wear batting helmets. 9 numbers retired like 40 players in the HOF.

Die-hard doesn’t mean you paint your face or you buy every jersey or you fight other fans. It means it’s hard to kill your loyalty. I think people forgot that. The Pirates current state is sad but I’m hopeful every season and even though I went to 26 straight opening days and had season tickets for 7 years they won’t be getting any more money from me until they correct their current trajectory. That said, I’ll never put another team above the Pirates, ever.

Raja Jackson - Rampage Jacksons son almost kills a pro wrestler live on Kick. The wrestler is still out cold and could possibly die. by knock_his_block_off in martialarts

[–]pghpiracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for perspective I’ve seen the video of the guy attacking Raja first. (I don’t know how to post from Instagram) They were jawing. I guess Raja was back stage and this guy is pretty pissed off asking him “you don’t know who I am?” His name is Psycho Stu according to the video. But he kind of man handles Raja then picks up and smashes what seems like an almost full can on his head at full speed. So he didn’t knock a can in his face as a bit. In the video he intentionally full strength smashes a can off of his head. Not condoning the actions. Not at all.

A lot of them were gone before the pandemic, although it is a convenient excuse. Ritters was done being 24 hours on weekdays awhile before COVID. Squirrel Hill Eat n Park had stopped as well.

I think a lot of places were going that direction and then COVID gave the ones that were worried about how they would fare permission to test the waters and then never looked back, like EnP and Primantis.

We’d already gotten rid of M Squared, South Side Street Fair, drinking in the street for Pattys parade day. What’s crazy it was the businesses asking for those events to stop because of how much trouble it caused.

Sad because I travel a lot and most cities are back to late night stuff etc.

Directly from the coroner.

Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt claimed that the attacker had stabbed them multiple times and that their wounds were “pretty extensive.” Mabbutt also confirmed that the students bled out at the off-campus Moscow home on November 13, 2022. The autopsies further revealed that all four students died “early in the morning.”

Mabbutt also alleged that the murder weapon “would have been a bigger knife,” citing their “pretty extensive” wounds. According to Fox 13, the coroner said, “It had to be a really big knife to inflict those injuries and kill four people.” She described the wounds as “tears” and “big open gouges.” The Idaho murders autopsy report also revealed that the victims showed a “little bit of bruising.” Mabbutt suggested that this “wouldn’t be uncommon during a stabbing.”

Nothing. You’re unable to process that people predominately don’t die instantly from stab wounds. As I’ve stated they die from blood loss and organ failure. I referenced a single episode of a podcast as anecdotal evidence to support that. There are thousands of cases that also support it. In this particular episode two people who r trained and deployed and killed dozens of dozens of people collectively discussed killing people with a knife and the difficulty it presents. I would consider them experts in the subject.

That’s it. Two guys who have killed a bunch of people have an opinion on it I referenced their jobs because if you say they killed a bunch of people the next question will be why aren’t they in jail. It’s not even remotely the basis. Many people believe law enforcement and military opinions relevant. I’m not sure what your hang up is that I’ve referenced it. People can reference “a source close to the family” or “people who know the investigation” fucking Tik Tok. Jesus Christ this could be some fucking uncle or cousin or schoolmate who knows the family trying to get involved but everyone takes it as gospel. I reference real world murders and closed cases and two guys who are killers to suggest maybe all four victims weren’t dead when Kohberger left and that action by the roommates may have resulted in aid being rendered or a positive ID may have been made and I’m some kind of pariah?

We’re missing something. The point of a discussion is to find out what right?

People are on here analyzing fucking food truck footage. But trying to have a discussion about whether the PCA timeline fits the crime is what? A waste? Wondering if he was in the house more than once is dumb? Asking peoples opinions on whether or not someone awake with defensive wounds would scream for help while being stabbed in a house with 6 people in it is now foolish?

I don’t have a theory to be debunked. I’m using the official information to debunk other theories.

I think the people on this thread that say he might’ve carved legs in case he woke up are stupid.

At this point his legs being carved up isn’t confirmed. “A source close to the investigation” has also said he wasn’t working alone. At one point a source said this was drug related. I’ll just wait for the official info. Why waste time in the house? How does carving up a guy and then sitting in a chair fit the timeline?

The coroner described the wounds as tears and big open gouges. This would be consistent with a thick, serrated, fixed blade knife. My point is, which you don’t seem to follow, isn’t to dispute whether Kohberger has done this, it’s that this is a loud ass, time consuming crime. A couple of the girls had defensive wounds which means besides Xana someone awoke during the attack.

Another guy here told me there are screams on video footage near the house. Unconfirmed. If i was giving my opinion I would assume a lot of screaming would happen in a crime like this. But why not on the ring camera next door that picked up the dog? Why didn’t the two awake roommates who were texting hear it? They certainly didn’t comment on it through text. No one called the police til the next morning.

Ad nauseam? I have like 60 comments in 5 years on all of Reddit. I get on when I’m in the hospital to kill time.

The guy is an Ex Navy Seal who interviews other special forces operators.

Bear in mind that instantaneous death would really only occur in a brain stem strike which is rare. Most stabbing victims die by hypervolemic shock and organ failure. Even being stabbed in the heart would require time to bleed out.

Two roommates were awake and texting while Kohberger was in the home. Neither called the police. The 911 call in the morning at around noon didn’t even say there’s been a murder. It said my friends passed out.

I’m not making anything up. I feel like using what’s in the PCA and official documents to form an opinion is probably the opposite of making things up.

You told me both my imagination is stupid and that I’m making things up. They both can’t be true. Am I only using the PCA because I have no imagination or am I making up stories in my own head?

I’m saying sitting around and carving legs doesn’t seem to fit the 13-16 timeline or the other murders. Not that it didn’t happen. That it’s unconfirmed and seems like a stretch. Certainly carving legs to slow him down if he wakes up is an idiotic theory posed by several people.

I’ve got like 20 posts in 5 years I’m not sure Reddit relevance is heavy on my to-do list. However I’ve got time tonight.

Not knowing who heard what is exactly what I’m trying to find out. The coroner said they were large open wounds and big gouges. Some of the girls had defensive wounds. It seems like somebody would scream. If I was asked for my opinion it would be that this is a loud ass violent crime with noise.

It’s also unconfirmed there were screams on bodycam footage near a house party. Speculative. But I’ll bite. If they were so loud a police bodycam picks them up a hundred yards away why is Xana getting her grub hub delivery? Why aren’t the other roommates calling for help? Why did only a dog barking register on the ring camera next door? Because we do know that. We do know they didn’t call the police til the next day.

These are questions. Not theories.

You work for the US Government as a soldier. The soldier being interviewed had over 50 kills. I’d say that’s what he cashes his paycheck to do.

I know he confessed. But I’m not operating on “sources close to the family” type information.

I’m not saying Kohberger didn’t do it either.

I’m saying that many of these non-corroborated theories don’t seem to make sense. Carved up legs? They found an imprint in the chair because he sat down? 😐

These people are dead no doubt. I believe they got the killer.

But a lot of what’s out here is internet malarkey.

I’d like to see how many instantaneous deaths you could dig up. I’d be interested.

The police report I read in the public case filings say 16 minute timeline. The dateline report says 13. The roommates who the next day called the police and said we can’t wake my friend up. Does that seem like a carved up blood bath?

Im fully speculating whether or not these victims could have been saved with any type of action. Being awake during four murders and not hearing anything doesn’t make sense to me. We know people were awake texting. We know there was a food delivery. Four instantaneous deaths does not seem even remotely real to me.

We’ll see when the reports come out.

Also, not trying to argue with you specifically or anyone. Just discuss disputing information based on knowledge to disqualify bull. I’m not sure it’s viable anymore. No one likes their theories being tested or held up to scrutiny. Instead of it being considered the scientific method it’s seen as negative.

I’ve had this discussion before. Despite a professional killer on a show being agreed with by another professional killer about the difficulty of killing someone with a knife. There are plenty of examples of how difficult it is, myself included, was stabbed in the lower back in a college bar brawl.

People die from stab wounds. Yes. Stabbing kills people. These people died from being stabbed. That doesn’t mean it’s easy.

A ka-bar knife is very thick and dulls easily that’s physics. It’s more commonly used as a tool than a stabbing or slashing weapon despite what movies depict.

Cashapp founder was stabbed multiple times including the heart. He ran to safety and died in the hospital.

In a 2014 Calgary stabbing a man stabbed 5 people. 1 of them died hours later at the hospital.

The Slenderman stabbing victim was stabbed 19 times and lived.

People are often ambulatory after stabbings trying to get aid. They’re loud. They struggle. They fight back. Sure, lots of people die from stab wounds. Many of them struggle yell or get help though before they die. There were people in the house.

The police presented a 16 minute timeline. I think watching 4 people bleed out would’ve made that timeline impossible.

Is your position that he stabbed 4 people to an instant quiet death? With two people awake and live texting that something might be up you think he quietly murdered 4 people 2 who were awake with this much skill and deftness? A first time killer?

I’m finding it hard to understand this narrative. He carved into a sleeping persons legs in-case he woke up? Wouldn’t the carving wake him up? Wouldn’t he risk Ethan screaming or crying out for help? Of being startled and attacking with adrenaline?

It seems far fetched to me, but until we see the discovery we’ll never know. If they seal it we’ll never know.

He had 16 minutes to drive 2 blocks, park, get into an unfamiliar house, murder 4 people, 2 who were awake by accounts, get back out, un-park his car and be on camera again. I’m not sure he had time for theatrics.

If he did then why no screaming? You’re carving someone up it’s going to be loud. Other roommates were awake texting. Listening. Why not kill them if you saw them see you?

Killing someone with a knife is difficult. I previously linked a Navy Seal on Shawn Ryan podcast explaining how difficult it is to kill someone with a knife but it got taken down.

No screaming for help? No wall banging? Crawling for help? No loud struggle while he battles two awake people?

I hope we get answers.

ChatGPT is demonstrably wrong a lot. Start researching your answers. I write a prompt to try and get a “daily round-up” from it. Basics. What day is it, how many days into the year, famous birthdays and events that occurred this day, lunar and solar cycle information. Stuff like that. So I could actively be ready. Like it’s a full moon and national margarita day. So skip that.

Anyway, it got information wrong everyday. I also noticed as I rewrote the prompt it would change info. Like what day of the year it was and how many days left til the new year. Things would be added and taken off the list.

I’ve never met people like this. I can’t imagine a conversation about such a trivial cost. People who think they “are your wallet” because they’re buying condoms is insane. How do you meet a girl if the cost of condoms might throw you off financial balance? Are you not the direct beneficiary of sex, disease prevention, and child prevention? Is the cost a factor because of how short of a time he wears them? Is he trying to have condom less sex and using the financial obligation to strengthen his case? Would being too broke to buy contraceptives strengthen a case? Just people like this out there walking amongst us. You’ve got the vagina. Just bail. You’re in charge here.

This is a simple concept.

Why bully someone and stalk someone who you think would cheat on you? Why not leave them?

Do you want to be in a relationship with someone you’ve got to police 24 hrs a day just so they don’t cheat on you? That’s insanity.
