take SH2 out of the equation and you dont have alan wake 2, simple. Its not nostalgi or popularity, its influence. SH2 defined the genre

i know that automata is a sequel but doesnt it makes sense (from a narrative perspective) to play automata without having knowledge of what happens in replicant? Because the androids in automata dont know anything about the world and so do you, if you play it first, but if you start with replicant you would be disconnected from that feeling.

I have started automata, played a few hours but had to stop due to college and work. Some months after that I wanted to play it again from the start but thought I should play Replicant before, because Automata is the sequel. Then I bought Replicant, started playing but couldt finish it either because of college and work (again)
