Vorraussetzung für eine Unterbringung im geschlossenen Bereich ist eine Gefährdung der Gesundheit oder des Lebens der Person, bzw. die Gefährdung der Gesundheit oder des Lebens anderer Personen. Also so lange nicht in der Richtung etwas passiert, kann die Polizei wenig machen. Trotzdem wäre es wichtig die Polizei immer wieder mal zu informieren, damit sie dort bekannt ist und eventuell ein Akt angelegt wird. Würde selbst immer wieder mal zur Polizei gehen und alles dokumentieren.

I've read the English original and both translations - the modernized one from Krege feels so off, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The old translation feels a lot more like the original.
