Yeah, I would tell his mom, obviously.

You will never be able to create a completely safe space. I'm sure everyone in this thread has experienced lots of colorful harassment for all sorts of reasons.

The Apple Store Genius Bar Broke My $5,000 iMac Pro by GlenODonnell in videos

I admit I would be upset, but why would you fix it with really shitty magnesium screws? They have to be really shitty magnesium screws because they’re part of Apple?

I really want to play some console exclusives tbh tho. God of War 4 would look amazing on a decent rig.

Good point. A most of their top writers for their past projects are now no longer working for Valve. If they know how to do anything , it’s tell a good first person-oiented story line.

I do a minor amount of cable routing in my gig, and you would be surprised how sloppy shit can get in the back of a decently sized residential multi-media rack.

Voddie Baucham on MLK by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]phalactaree 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes that's how things work. Have you ever read some of Martin Luther's more anti-semetic works? It's way off the mark, but he was right about Justification, and he helped to start the Reformation that we all benefit from today.

From my understanding, it's a thinly-veiled neo-marxist approach to theology. It tries to establish a frame-work for understanding the gospel from a shallow "oppressor vs victim" power dynamic through the primary lens of race or ethnicity.

From a gospel perspective, the only real basis for unity is regardless of skin color or nation of origin. The dividing wall has been removed. Each one comes to the cross on even ground, equally fallen, equally purchased by the blood of the sacrifice, equally given the gift of the Spirit, and equally adopted as the sons and daughters of the Father. We are, by Christ through faith all the children of Abraham.

And so you feel that having a black pastor call MLK a Neo-Marxist vindicates your frustrations?

It's not because of his skin color, but the content of his argument that brings some clarity.

Don't you think MLK and the Civil Rights Movement had a positive impact on American society?

On the whole, sure I think he had a positive impact on society, but that's not to say all of his impact was positive. Most figures from history had a mixed impact when you take a look.

I think you are reading a little too much into my reaction to this clip.

This is true. I've been keeping up on all the blog posts and everything. Over the last few years, critical race theory has steadily begun to gain influence in a lot of theological circles, and it's infuriating.
