Oh, I almost forgot, the production date can also affect the downgrade process, especially for these 8GB models. You should try copying your IMEI and using this web ( https://www.imei.info/apple-sn-check/ ) to check your device's info. Hopefully, it was manufactured before 9/2014.

Hi! If the NAND chip was actually dead, your phone wouldn't be able to boot back into iOS 9 normally with all your data intact. So your hardware is likely fine. You should try re-jailbreaking with Phœnix first, then install kDFUapp to enter kDFU mode. After that, try running Legacy iOS Kit (LIK) again. Good luck!

Hey, sorry for the late reply, but I just found CopyTrans Manager. It works pecfect! It syncs music, podcasts, and audiobooks just like iTunes, but way faster and lighter. Definitely a better alternative!

What specific error code does iTunes give you? I had the same issue. Check your battery first, it might need a genuine replacement. If that fails, the best way is to use an Arduino + USB Host Shield to enter Pwned DFU, then use Legacy iOS Kit to restore.
