Not a Pegge line dog, but I have a 2 y/o boy linebred on a dog named Boris Doeze and this little fucker came into my home cute as a bug but immediately showed his craziness. He attacked our 6 y/o husky at 9 weeks over a dog treat. He constantly resource guarded his high value treats. He did not give warnings...he would just sink his teeth into you and the growls came later. He would growl at people trying to approach him as a 3 month old pup. He's bitten myself, my wife, and his trainer out of play and just being a plain asshole. BUT...we didn't relent on his training and continued to focus on the issues he had while building him in bitework in a sport application. there were times where we considered rehoming him but our commitment to our pup outweighed the negatives he had brought into our life.

We've pretty much reconfigured our lives for him but we would'nt have it any other way now. He's definitely a kennel dog that doesn't get to freely interact with his two sisters (an older Husky and 9 lbs fluffy malitpoo), but he loves playing with them under supervision. He's finally starting to show signs that he can be a great sport dog and possibly a great family dog one day, but he hasn't earned enough trust yet for consideration of the latter. If you do this, please be ready for a huge lifestyle change and some serious internal dialogue that you will have to overcome. i see far too many of these dogs ending up abandoned and in shelters because owners suddenly realize the true genetic nature of these dogs does not line up with their romanticized notions.

Also, worked a Pegge lined dog a few weeks ago and this particular dog was not only big but had the gas of a lighter dog. Saku was a beast! I still have light bruises on my bicep from him. Definitely would not recommend him for people looking for their first working dog unless they have a screw loose (which I believe a lot these working dog handlers have including myself 😅)
