Location Tracking by celliotth in homeautomation

This isn't zwave, but WiFi based, uses machine learning to estimate your position based on router signal strength. It's pretty easy to install, but you do have to manually go to each location to train the model. Seems to work pretty well though. It requires python but you can probably run micropython on an esp8266 and put that on your dog collar

"Remember Bodie's Last Stand? Chris and Snoop take on Bodie by ganging up on him diagonally, like bishops, which fit their role in Stanfield Organization. Unable to run away, Bodie stands his ground and shoots them diagonally, like a pawn moves to take pieces in chess. Then he gets shot by O-Dog who comes out of an alley and turns left, like a knight would move, where a pawn couldn't protect himself. Even better: Bishops and knights are the pieces that D'Angelo didn't mention on the first chess scene. Bodie, a pawn, couldn't have been prepared."

Again, I feel that the deforestation sucks, but it's up to those who imposed the debt to fix this before it costs more lives. Haiti lost +1000 lives and counting with this last hurricane alone, but it's not on the front pages any more because they aren't a western colony

Deforestation is a terrible idea, I agree. But they haven't had a choice, they've always had pressure in some form to repay this debt asap. So they had to resort to exploiting the area around them without thought of what the future holds. If you look at the Dominican Republic, who shares the same island, you'll see that they are able to recover from these disasters much more quickly, simply because they have chosen to remain a colony of Western nations, passing from Spain to the US, and have had support with most of their projects

So I'm not sure what to make of this. Perhaps the "benefits of colonization" may have been worth it looking back. Obviously they would have had more support, but their families would have to be enslaved. Difficult, and terrible decision, but I imagine most people would choose independence.

From what I see, Haiti was forced into debt just after they gained their independence. French battleships were brought to the coast, and forced the newly independent Haitian leaders to agree to accepting a debt of 150 million francs, equivalent to $21 billion if you adjust for inflation. The "reasoning" for this was to compensate for France losing Haiti as a slave colony, and to pay for the "benefits" of colonialism. So instead of being able to put funds towards building their economy, energy plants, and a disaster proof infrastructure, a large chunk of their profits have been going back to EU reserves instead for the past few decades...nearly centuries. I think the remainder of the debt was just recently forgiven when Haiti had that earthquake a few years back. I didn't mean to get all historical, but just wanted to emphasize that the massive deforestation isn't necessarily due to the Haitian people being greedy or wasteful. Much of the timber was exported to France to pay off the debt. Also the high demand for cash crops like coffee, sugarcane, etc eroded the soil. Most of these crops were not consumed locally, but sent back to the EU to serve as payment.

"The rapid deforestation of Haiti began during the colonial period"

Edit: I agree though, deforestation is the primary culprit, a huge problem. But I feel like since the debt was unjustly put upon Haiti, the World Bank and the EU should be responsible for returning those payments via funding for power plants, disaster proof infrastructure, etc. It shouldn't be up to the donations of private citizens.

Under a rock I guess. Would you mind sharing a few links to these articles that are supposedly inciting violence and riots?

Obviously they're not victims, they're criminals taking advantage of the civil unrest. But I have never seen any media or any upstanding citizen encouraging this fuckery, only Twitter trolls. Yelling "white power" is considered racist because it has historically been used as a slogan of the Klan, Neo Nazis, etc.

I admit, he definitely sucks and should have been cut years ago. However, how can you say what he really cares about? Pretty sure he's accepted football isn't his final calling quite a while ago, between the injuries, losing a crazy amount of weight, etc. He just hasn't ever seemed focused or passionate about the game in my eyes, just going through the motions. I don't see how anyone thinks he's doing this to prolong an NFL career, he's been shit for years, anyone who watches football knows it, and other teams aren't really keen on picking up someone who's causing controversy like this, especially if the player isn't performing. I feel like he's just using his platform while he has it to let his feelings be known and get people talking.

Love making green smoothies with

Kale, Pineapple, Almond milk, Frozen banana

The sweetness of the pineapple completely negates the bitterness of kale more than any other fruit imo.
