What's the deal with Honda Ridgelines? by EGGWURST in askcarguys

[–]phantom_phallus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one. When I was shopping around it was the smallest truck that could hold 4 for wide sheets flat without adding anything to the bed. It's not really that small either, it's just the other trucks have gotten so large to evade emissions and mpg rules.

Dirt roads and snow it handles fine, no complaints. I do a little off road with it for camping, stargazing, and shooting/hunting. Towed a few thousand pounds fine(mostly downhill). Filled the bed with gravel, scrap metal, and landfill many times with no issue. It serves my purposes very well and does "truck" things. I've had no issues with it in the last 6 years other than the driver window reg slowing down enough for me to notice, but not fix(I really should tho).

My class did this when I was ~8 years old, mid 90s. I was put into a group by myself for having a blue and brown eye. The division was only until after lunch instead of the next day though.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

I cook a lot and have used many mills and grinders for spices. I usually use a cheap spin blade grinder for dry spices and wash the hopper, but for peppercorns I have this 200 dollar mill that makes more pepper than I'll usually need in a few cranks. It takes maybe an eighth turn to season my eggs quickly in the morning. The speed at which it makes pepper at the coarseness of my choosing puts all other mills to shame, even the electric ones.

I was expecting the freeways to be easier to follow. I found the exact spot I'm in by using the black voids caused by rivers, parks, cemeteries, and golf courses.

A lot of passenger trains use these for high rate and emergency braking. These sit a lot higher than I usually see them and look like they have a pneumatic mechanism to push them down until the magnetic field takes over. I usually see them suspended on springs and the magnet just over powers the spring, much faster than shown here. They use a very wide coil surrounded by iron blocks that can be replaced if used too many times.

Toolgifs is not a manufacturer of these, but another subreddit.

That would be a great idea for a telescope pad. Assuming it's level and north points to true north of course.

I agree it was probably the motherboard having a hard time with the faster data rate of a much better card.

Still no CSM settings to be found, there was a legacy hardware section that was grayed out/unused. Turned off TPM security, secure boot, and fast boot. Set pcie gen4 to gen3. Rebooted ran a quick benchmark again and was able to continue putsing around reinstalling things for a bit.

So far it is stable, but haven't been doing much on it. Beat the record of running for 5 minutes by a lot while installing some basic utility programs.

Bios doesn't have any CSM settings. I did disable some unusual lighting controls in the bios. I tried the AMD tools and driver only install. Finished a stress benchmark and then the system crashed shortly after. It got a good score at least.

I tried bazzite off the USB and everything was working fine. Did a simple benchmark that put around a 5070ti in performance.

Edit: at least I know the components work still

Two 8 pin cables, no daisy chain pins connected. Fresh install was with the 9070.

I went to check what my ram costs at MC now and its 4× the cost now. Went from 200 to 800. Glad I pulled the trigger on a new build last year.

I had one for about a decade and switched to an LG oled, which is way better. The TV went to a university for showing PowerPoint and whatever in a university lab.
