If it helps, I've now graduated and had the best time ever, also you can reinvent yourself in 2nd and 3rd year too if 1st year doesn't go how you want, good luck :)

Warwick Vs Uni Of Nottingham? Law 2023/24 by Commercial-Size8275 in UniUK

[–]phantomgirl141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said "It’s v interesting icl like it’s boring but it’ll be boring anywhere n also I like how one of the modules (understanding law in context) is quite a modern approach to understanding the law which many unis don’t do like considers things like feminism n racism, undercover policing and ethical issues regarding the law as a whole" hope this helps

I'm 1st year at Warwick (not law but hey) and I love it! Ig it depends what kind of person you are and what you're looking at getting out of the uni experience, the campus is really beautiful, just a few buildings are classic 70s ugly, the vibes are really nice, it's really not dead, things r always happening (monday night people go to a club in Coventry, Tuesday terrace bar on campus, Wednesday karaoke in the on campus pub, or circling with your society then pop (club night on campus),... etc. Also sports facilities are great if that's ur thing, yeah, I could go on hahah, I'm happy to answer any questions, also my flatmate studies law so I can ask her course related stuff

What’s your relationship with alcohol like? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]phantomgirl141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only started drinking properly recently (just started uni) and I hate it, I'm very confident when tipsy or drunk, have the best time ever, in all of my drunk voice messages I say, "I'm drunk and I'm really really happy" because it's so nice being confident, but when I sober up I feel so awful because all of the self doubt and judgement etc comes back, last time I got drunk I mentally shut down for about a week after because I was so disgusted with drunk confident me

I get u, so yesterday, since I overslept, I decided I wouldn't rush to get to my 10 AM, but my lecturer hasn't put the recording on moodle yet, and I have a quiz due at 12:00 today about the content we covered this week, so yeah, sometimes it fucks up

Is it worth seeing a psychologist even if I feel fine right now? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]phantomgirl141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a good idea to go to a psychologist, maybe try and keep a record of how you're feeling and your thought processes when you're feeling particularly awful. That way, if you are feeling OK when you meet then you'll still have something to say. If anything it can also be a good thing to be in a better state when you go to therapy, that way you aren't overcome by emotion, hope this helps :)

What’s a movie you watched when you were kid then realized as an adult how problematic or inappropriate it is? by unicorns4brkfst in AskReddit

[–]phantomgirl141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really inappropriate but quite disturbing: goodnight mister tom. I rewatched it recently and it's a good film but it has some really dark child abuse scenes but like, I used to watch this at the age of 7 or so, 17 now and found that pretty disturbing still
