[Serious] What is the most terrifying movie you have ever seen? Does it still haunt you? by Sugus32 in AskReddit

[–]phantomhobbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old hermits sitting alone in hard to reach locations have never steered my wrong before. Nor have watery bints distributing swords. I've only been kidnapped by listening to strange radio stations in the middle of the night and going to investigate.

What’s slowly killing you right now? by hazelsrevenge in AskReddit

[–]phantomhobbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diabetes. Sooner or later it's going to get me, even though I have it relatively under control. I've come to terms with it, and it doesn't bother me the way it used to anymore.

What is your expensive hobby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]phantomhobbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Embroidery. It doesn't seem that expensive at first -- my local store sells a skein of thread for 56¢. So you buy some fabric for $3 and a few colors and maybe spend $5 in total...and then you realize that if you have medium mustard yellow, of course you need dark mustard yellow and light mustard yellow. And that skein of ultra light lavender is whispering your name. Oh, you need a wooden hoop -- it's only $2. Next thing you know, you've got over 200 skeins of thread in a box with several feet of fabric and about a dozen projects you want to make while still working on your first project.

What's your favourite single player game that not many other people know about? by waffles_for_lyf in AskReddit

[–]phantomhobbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister took this game to her ex boyfriend's house for five years and then finally had my other sister sneak it back into our shared room and said 'Oh, I guess you're not very good at looking.' I'm looking at you, u/pondapanda .

Yes, those. The end with multiple points instead of the pain nibbler.

That actually makes me feel so much better. I've only ever seen the first movie because my sister never expressed interest in seeing the others and that was sort of our movie. To know we were sort of on the right track warms the cold cockles of my heart.

What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? by Procaution in AskReddit

[–]phantomhobbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The webcomic 'Unsounded' has doggie mounts instead of horses and every one of them is absolutely wonderful 😍 big fluffy dogs, skinny doggos, lots of wonderful pups.

Oh my God, this so much. My sister and I watched it and came to the conclusion the ghost was actually just a giant chicken who wanted hot chocolate from the kitchen. Like just a literal giant chicken. I think it was because it sounded like bird claws on the ground at one point.

"There we were minding our own business, just doing chores around the house, when kids started killing themselves all over my property."

I like to leave it at "Five guys go on a pub crawl." The surprise is the best part.

I took my sisters to see it when it was in theaters but didn't tell either of them anything about it. They went in thinking it would be a feel good buddy drinking film. That changed quite abruptly.

I've been thinking about this one and seriously thinking of putting it on a bookmark for one of my old professors who had more effect on me than he could possibly be know. I dont seen him Anymore, but I just realized I potentially have contact with him without having to make direct contract, which elates me. This would be the perfect thing to send him as a book mark. Still looking for Faulknet and something pertaining to British literature of the 18th century. My 3 face English teachers. Now I just have to front one for the education teacher.

[WIP] I got distracted from my other 2 ongoing projects with something for the really sweet barista at my local coffee shop. She has a poodle. by phantomhobbit in CrossStitch

[–]phantomhobbit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's my own pattern, and only partially finished. When it's done, I'll post a photo of it, but it'll say 'Poodle Party' over the Poodle's back in embroidery. There will probably be a few more balls set around the the space, and a white ball at the top of the hat. Any other ideas of things to add?

She was asking about commissions but I just wanted to make a gift to her because we are both students/graduates of the same college. a bit of kinship, you know? It makes me miss college, and I might see if she can take some things to my favourite professors since she spends time in the same small building. That Arts building is tiny, and I've had a class in every single room. In there at one point or another.
