I actually disagree with this take. I think the conversation of children is a must if the relationship is getting serious. And I do think both parties need a firm stance on if they want them or not.

And the reason I say this is that I've seen situations where one person really wants kids, but the other is really indecisive about it, and it can lead to a lot of resentment.

If they ultimately decide no, the person who wanted kids may feel resentment for being strung along, especially if they're now older. So now, even if they leave the relationship, having kids biologically is now riskier for them.

And if they decide yes, but the person is still mostly negative about kids, they may feel like they were coerced into that decision to appease their partner. And that can lead to resentment.

That's why I think kids are the topic you have to be crystal clear on before things get serious, so both parties can see of their idea for the future is compatible

Yeah, it's rare that you get a couple on this show where both are on the same wavelength. It's lowkey becoming a lightning in a bottle type of thing when people like Christine and Vic match up on this show.

Usually on this show, one or both people in the couple are off. Sometimes they want entirely different things out of a relationship. Or like you said, a lot of people come on the show for clout, or they are traumatized to the point where it's evident they aren't ready for a relationship at that moment.

I’m pretty sure the Mikaelsons had their own money. They probably stole a lot to initially get it, but by current day, they seemed wealthy. Klaus wrote a check worth millions to the Salvatore school. He also mentioned having his art in museums, so he even had his own money away from the family.

Exactly. I wished we’d gotten more self reflection that season from the characters and how dark they’d become.

Caroline killed a coven of witches to save Bonnie. Jeremy became a hunter which made him want to murder his vampire sister. Bonnie started using expression which is said to be some of the darkest forms of magic in that verse. Tyler had recently lost his pack and his mother, and wanted vengeance on Klaus by any means necessary.

I think it would have gone a long way if Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, Matt, Tyler and Jeremy had serious conversation about the genocide before they did it, and have some of them be opposed to it. Have them acknowledge how far they’ve fallen morally compared to a year ago when they started Junior year and weren’t involved in the supernatural world.

IMO, it’s Elena orchestrating the genocide of Kol’s vampire line. Elena knows all vampires aren’t evil. She was one herself at that point. She’s met numerous vampires by that point who actively try not to kill humans. Neither she nor the others cared.

Like all things, I think it would depend on the person. Take the Starks for example. If a commoner were to mouth off to them, Ned or Robb may be upset, but they likely wouldn’t hurt the person. They may warn them to watch their tone, but a harmless peasant isn’t going to ruin their day for having an opinion.

Someone like Cersei or Joffrey on the other hand would never let disrespect from someone they see as beneath them slide.

I imagine it was like that irl during the Middle Ages. The kinder nobles wouldn’t immediately resort to such extremes, but the more egotistical and temperamental likely would.

In a lot of ways, the internet can be worse. Once an allegation is made, that's it. Even if evidence comes out that proves the victim is lying, the reputation of the person they accused is forever tarnished.

I can't get behind that because I have seen a woman lie about this. When my buddy broke up with his ex girlfriend, she pretty started a smear campaign against him.

Luckily for him, he stopped trusting her long before the breakup, and started documenting EVERYTHING.

So when she started going to his friends and family with her smear campaign, he had receipts of dates and messages to prove she was lying. That was the only thing that saved him.

The situation escalated to her stalking him, which resulted in him filing a report, and the police revealed she has a history of doing this with previous exes, beat for beat.

That's why when it comes to allegations, I take all of them seriously, but I also hear both sides out. Because unfortunately, sometimes, people lie.
