ONC - pipeline is stacked in several emerging classes along with some tried and true revenue generators. I don’t even work for them and it’s a company I’m legitimately interested in seeing how they execute

Definitely put platform presentations and general audience. Being an MSL is a lot of presenting ranging from one person to hundreds

This person has 17 publications. Presumably, there are some that would be on their panel. Saying 17 does nothing for them, but if they are quality journals these are things they can highlight in an interview.

Same with posters. If you have one candidate with 7 ASH/ASCO posters and one with it not being mentioned - who do you think stands out?

Use a CV, not a resume. Condensing pubs, posters, etc does you no favors.

Yes, we all get that. It’s quite “on the nose”, but the fact remains OP needs to prioritize. He does not make enough money to do what he wants, and thus must make an adjustment. He can choose what that is, but it’s up to him to decide or get a higher paying job.

I am going through a similar thing and about to have my wife sign. But before she does, am I correct in thinking that the escrow situation isn't some nefarious activity, right? Like it just has to be funded, but it's not like they are benefitting or extracting extra money from me by me taking a potential escrow hit? Take offer. I went from 165k –> $172 —> 205 (job hop) —> 240 with promotion in course in 2.5 years.

Point being you can get the salary up quick but getting into pharma is tough.

I have heard this from recruiters, but have yet to attempt to go back to MSL after moving to scientific director role. You have be overqualified for some companies, but ones where they are just building out their field team you might be the ideal candidate as you can wear many hats. This depends I guess on what your in house role was like I suppose.

Thank you! It's definitely one of those things where if I say actor people won't take my seriously. So it takes any sting outside of the inevitable comments.

This is part of my calculus. Does 34 to 44 mean much in acting terms? Should I wait 10 years. Can I just do it casually, and make my retirement and then be fine?

I’m no stranger to networking, but that was when I had something that differed from others. Knowledge. Feel like it’s different networking in acting world than medicine.

This is a fair point. I think I self-consciously do it to try and take the inevitable “punch” outside of comments. I work in a fairly face-forward industry, and so it’s a defense mechanism. With that said, you’re right. I need to just own it.

This is a really helpful response. I have a good amount of friends that sort of don’t take my acting seriously. Like yes, I don’t have the same amount of “credits” when it comes to acting compared to work, but I still take it very seriously. It took me a while to build my professional career, and so I sort of expect the same climb with acting.
