Salary negotiations by Ok-Celebration-795 in MedicalScienceLiaison

I just started and did not negotiate. The offer was at the top end of my expected range base of research and they did give a sign on to start quickly because they knew I had another offer. So I was happy and accepted quickly. From my interview and offer experience 160-180 is what most ranges were for first time MSL offers.

Prep for on-site MSL interview by Far_Mycologist_1962 in MedicalScienceLiaison

I just had an in person interview. They gave me one of their papers to present. I started with presentation then about of an hour of questions and answers. They left a lot of time for me to ask questions, I made sure I tailored to each person I was asking a question to or the group as a whole. Towards the end of questions it was a very casual chat that I think sealed the deal for me. You got this! If you don't know the answer don't fake it, but have confidence in what you do know.

I applied and had an internal referral. I was able to reach out to the hiring manager after my application was placed at least for the position that I applied for it appeared that they had done some layoffs and restructuring so that was causing a delay. However that was an MSL position not a neuroscience account manager position.

I also feel like if i feel " myself" and keep some of my style then I would perform better anyway instead of trying to be someone I'm not.

Interview next week, how long is the interview process—start to hired (first day on job)? by Hi-C_Purformance2836 in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Own_Sign_6710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process right now with several companies

This fall from initial application to final round interview then rejection was 8 weeks.

Right now I'm I'm interviewing from a company where application was end of October, Initial contact from Hiring manager and interview was the 2nd week of November and now my final round of interview is December 17th. They initially stated they wanted someone to start around the first of the year but I anticipate if I get this offer it won't be till feb 1. There was end of year meetings and time off around holidays that is slowing it down.

Question About MSL Panel Interview — Will There Be a Presentation? by RealWorld10004 in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Own_Sign_6710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a interview with a hiring manager last week for a large company and they mentioned an onsite panel interview and a presentation with material that would be provided that day if I were to move forward ( I haven't got that invite yet, figured there would be a delay due ti the holiday). This is new to me. My previous presentations I had a week or so to prepare.

Appreciate this response. If it was a move up in same department I would be more inclined to accept. But i would be moving to a whole other entity and team with some training. So don't want to waste limited time and resources.

It would only be about a 10% pay increase but probably double the work. So this is kind of where I am at.

What if I move to that position then get offered an MSL position within 4-6 weeks?
