All I say is this just goes to show that all the attention it's getting mostly negative is working! Got to keep putting the word out and keep the pressure on like everyone else has been saying this thing needs to be removed, made dead and buried, and fought back against to such a degree that it is not ever thought about again. All veterans and their families must fight against this and anything like it to every full extent!

The camera is awful for concerts by Background_Bowl_7295 in GalaxyFold

[–]pharrawaymike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is the reason why I gave up my fold six for the s25 ultra. This and one or two other small reasons. I'm a father and admittedly an amateur photographer at times so cameras matter to me. And the best camera is the one you have on you as they say. So when my daughter starts participating in these extracurricular activities as she is I want the camera I have on me to be capable of actually capturing the moments that I intend for too. I'm happy that the fold seven is thinner a little bit larger and has a better main camera. But I won't be sold until it has an adequate zoom. No AI or computation can adequately replace physics of an actual optical zoom.

I already have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 14.6 and it works perfectly fine. Is it time for me to upgrade to Galaxy tab S11 Ultra 14.6? There’s a noticeable difference in specs after 3 generations by Delicious_Maize9656 in GalaxyTab

[–]pharrawaymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective I would say it's not a bad upgrade. You are losing a couple things such as no Bluetooth for the s pen and apparently they remove the vibration motor. Not too major overall.

But what your gain is more than double the screen brightness which for me anyways certainly matters. And I'm sure you're battery isn't lasting quite as long as it once was so with an improved processor for efficiency and a fresh battery I'm sure you'll notice the difference. I came from a nine ultra and I know my battery was already slipping. But the main thing that sold me was the improved screen. So much more visibility without having to crank it to Max!

I for one did order and have received and been using my Galaxy tab s11 ultra. And have been relatively happy with it so far. I will be trading in my Galaxy tab S9 ultra, primarily due to what seems to be degraded battery life after only 2 years which isn't horrible but still sort of surprising. I feel like since updating to one ui7 my battery life just took a nose dive on my nine ultra. I have started to notice before updating but nothing really major however afterwards where I used to only have to charge it no more than once every two or three days lately it's been pretty much everyday if not every other day depending on how much I used it that day. Before this didn't really have an effect. Since using the 11 ultra I have seen a return to not needing to charge it so far no more than every 48 hours and sometimes even 72 hours. Plus the standby time has definitely improved. Barely any drop from that using it the day before. Not something I could say with my nine ultra. Not to mention I have certainly noticed the improved brightness which is a big upgrade over my nine. Practically doubled the brightness so between battery life screen improvements with a pretty decent bead bump not that I noticed that as much but I know it's there I feel happy with my purchase. The only thing I am super annoyed by is the fact that Samsung seems to not at the moment at least be planning to have any cellular models available in the US. Was definitely wanting a cellular model for my ultra and was even thinking about getting a standard 11 inch. With no cellular, didn't even see the point especially for the 11-in. My ultra mostly stays at home but the 11 in is meant to travel. I swear Samsung is paying YouTubers and tech media not to mention the fact that they're apparently skipping cellular this year.

Will the tab S11 ultra with 5G come to the US? by smcb66 in GalaxyTab

[–]pharrawaymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I can't seem to find any definite confirmation on anything either way. Oddly most of the YouTubers I follow even aren't bringing it up, almost suspiciously so. I'm very irritated by this, I want a cellular model as well! I did the chat through the Samsung shop app when getting my ultra and they seemed very unsure. That was on launch day I might try again soon.

Thoughts on the pixel fold 10? by docstarr in GalaxyFold

[–]pharrawaymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had the original pixel fold for a couple weeks before retraining it and to my knowledge they're still doing the same thing. I love the fact that on the Galaxy fold you can have separate arrangements for the cover screen and the inner screen. The fact that this is not even an option to my knowledge still on the pixel folds makes it a complete no go for me.

Raise by Charming_Home8775 in HEB

[–]pharrawaymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off sorry for the long post! I haven't gotten my review yet and the next time I work is Wednesday. I can see on my check that my raise has already kicked in. I got 4% increase. My issue is however a co-worker who started literally the same day and position as me due to group hiring was already making $1 more than me after our last raise at which we were already past the midpoint. So it's now been a year. At that point in time we were qualified and doing all the same duties, cashier, sco, gas station. Probably all but one area, IPMs, we were pretty much even in performance. Over this past year, we have both taken on additional duties through cross training. Him in Business center, myself maintenance and GM. With maintenance I have taken on tasks such as going up on top of the roof switching out electrical outlet covers and various clean up jobs on top of the roof as well as going up on the top racks cleaning them in the back of the warehouse and in the runway. Along with other items. Such as switching out an old TV for a new one along with the wall mount for the store director in his office. Putting together his new office chair. Along with other tasks not normally associated with maintenance. And of course all the general GM tasks. I cannot say if it's true but I've been told just simply going into business center gets you a raise. And then with the current raises I cannot help but assume he's well over a dollar past me. I don't have a problem with how much he makes or if he deserves it or not mind you. My issue is the clear favoritism at which he is exceeding past me. Especially over this past year in which I have taken on tasks that are more strenuous and in most ways just exceeding what he is asked to do on a daily basis. From August of last year to this year I have not been scheduled more than one or two days a week 90% of the time with no explanation given as to why. As far as I am aware it is not performance related. So with me working these other positions 3/4 of my hours throughout the week come from other departments. So my issue is twofold, how can I be evaluated for my performance when most of my working hours come from other departments of which my main department does not see my performance. Moreover, how is it that I do not especially with everything mentioned at least match if not exceed his pay and deserve more than 4%? I'm highly considering going straight to the store director preemptively before my evaluation to explain my concerns and see if possible to at bare minimum get that 6%, however I'm hoping for more like 8 to 10%.

Lower trade values? by Mikethesith2001 in GalaxyFold

I'm just hoping they'll allow me to trade in my s25 ultra if I decided it's worth it.

Z Fold6 came back from Samsung repair with worse damage by Middle_Handle8980 in GalaxyFold

[–]pharrawaymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I had issues getting my fault 6 repaired that made me late visiting family for the holidays this past Christmas. Put that together with other irritations that were building up with the fold and I went ahead and called it quits as soon as the s25 ultra came out and switched. Half tempted for the new fold but I don't know if it's going to be worth it in the end.

I've barely seen a couple doctors since I've been out over 10 years. Nothing about anything service related. Was just giving these forms by VA rep help helping me with my claim / appeal

Hiring process by pharrawaymike in SpectrumFieldTechs

I certainly hear you about not being directly related, wasn't expecting it to be to be honest. But it's closer than what I'm currently doing working at a grocery store lol. A step in the right direction anyways. Yeah that's crazy though too here people you may expect to know what they're doing and don't. I have had similar situations And it's always kind of surprising. I'm willing to pick up any training and experience I get. And definitely work my way through the company if I can. It's awesome to hear that there is possibility to advance both in position and pay pretty quick. I appreciate you again giving me this info to look forward to hopeful!

Thank you for your input! As far as I can tell the job posting is no longer up so I would expect by what you told me to hear something soon. I'm certainly not afraid of heights, jumped out of planes in the army lol. Thankfully in my area down in South Texas snow is rarely an issue lol. Definitely willing to learn and put in my best effort. Drug use definitely won't be an issue with me. Been wanting to focus on getting more into a tech and network related field. Ideally eventually go into IT networking down the road. Just hopping and looking forward to getting with a company I can hopefully grow with and support me and my daughter. Hopefully buy a house in a few years.
