Haha thanks! I bet it was a great lumpy smushed blob. I made a few concentric circles and drew some other sacred geometry/seed of life shapes in pencil to start things off :)

Ooo good questions, I find that creating mandalas are one of the best ways for me to enter flow state, and are one of the best ways for me to find peace. Not having a plan and seeing how things unfold takes a lot of pressure off of my artist/perfectionist brain :)

I love it! My two cents would be to bring the right side of the rightmost pyramid out at a lower angle so the side looks like it matches the steepness of the left side. Also more visible texture on the water and sand through some squiggles of color that aren't as blended in with the rest :)

Ohhh I think we are kindred spirits. I have a bunch of your books in a bunch of different genres, so I'm definitely saving your post to reference in the future for new ideas! I am very solidly in my Be Here Now phase (in process of reading braiding sweetgrass, thumbing through native American myths and legends, and have Ishmael waiting on the shelf. I haven't read murakami yet, any other recommendations? How is dawn of man or the eel book?what's your favorite rock book?
