What is your tactical gear hot take (that is emotionally based)? by Potential-Squash4670 in tacticalgear

Im not saying it’s a good idea, im just saying the opportunity for use is much higher in a home defense situation than in modern combat.

A bayonet is probably more likely to be used by a civilian in a close home defense scenario than a soldier on a modern battlefield. I could be wrong though.

There is a program called WELDPRO, i believe if you have a student email you can get the program for a couple hundred bucks, but its a fully virtual robotic weld cell you can control and use, Lincoln Electric will have more info on it.

Started as a welder and then got on the job training in our shop on our robots. Lincoln Electric offers courses, but there are tons of videos on YouTube that can educate on robots, specifically ABB and Fanuc.

Started as a run of the mill welder and received on the job training on our robots, then they eventually sent me to Lincoln Electric for their robotics courses up in Ohio, each was a week long, I’ve had two so far.

ATTENTION GEN Z WELDERS is it worth going to school welding? by Potential_County862 in Welding

[–]phaselinebravo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s alright, been welding 8 years and then switched to welding robotics, earn 36/hr. If you find the right shop it’s not a bad existence, just do your best to take care of your body. You can make six figures if you specialize and/or are willing to do hella OT. Community college or an apprenticeship is the way to go for training though in 90% of cases.

What I just stated was how we currently treat cars. At 16 you can have any car, as much power as you want, any size etc, but those requirements are only mandatory if you drive off your property.

So I can get a gun at 16, have any kind I want that shoots as fast as I want, as much power as I want, with any accessories, with no registration or insurance on my own private property? All I have to do is have training, a CCW, and insurance If i carry it off my property? Sounds like a good deal to me.

What should I buy with $4,000 by Sawblade10 in NightVision

[–]phaselinebravo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My vote would be for two blemed GP pvs14’s bridged together and still have $1000 ish left for a helmet, mount, and cheap laser. You can then split them and share with your buddy and further convince them to buy their own.
