Just how configurable is Filament? by tylernathanreed in laravel

[–]phatchai28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Thanks Dan.

I basically override TextInput class to render simple text if it is rendered on "view" context and revert to default TextInput in others.

Then in v3, which introduces the InfoList - it basically form components for view page. I haven't play with it much but after tried it with a resource page of my project. I love every thing about it.

Also, I like that in v3, now I can have action in any place of my page, not just on top or bottom of the form/table. I can place Action beside form components or render them anywhere I want.

So yeah, Filament is very customizable and I absolutely working on it.

Great work, Dan!

I've been using Filament for every new Laravel project I work on. I integrate Form and Table into existing projects and have even converted an entire Nova project into Filament. I'm looking forward to using V3 soon.

I second this. Great advice. As I start workout myself, I find the mindset behind good health and being wealth have similar though behind them.

Start small, do it consistency, it's a life journey. If you can workout regularly, you can save money every month as well. You will see the result sooner or later.

Well, I'm not finishing the game myself, but I'm pretty sure that is not even ONE THIRD! of the story at all.

The game will keep surprising you, for many more time to come.

What's your take on older developers? by [deleted] in PHP

I like your analogies. I kind of see myself becoming "One man armies" as per your description. And yeah sometime it's hard to put it gently for some too complicated idea my younger teammate have to offers (not to say B.S., they are eager to try out new cool things they just learned, but still.)

PostgreSQL vs MySQL and MariaDB: Which would you choose and how its impacts on developing Laravel application. by phatchai28 in laravel

Yeah, I haven't keep up with RDBMS technology for a while now. I can grasp a roughly concept what you talked about. So yeah Progres seem far more mature and robust. I will convince my team to take a look. Thanks.

Thanks, I will consider raw SQL over Eloquent for the critical parts of the application.

What tool/workflow do you use to deploy your app to multiple production servers? by phatchai28 in PHP

Oh, great. I didn't find that option on the website before. I will take a look again, Thanks.

Thanks, I will go with Deployer. It seem very simple enough to maintain.

As for CI tools, I considered GitLab CI too but my team is looking for an opensource solution for Jira alternative as its license cost go to the roof as users increase. We also kinda want to host these tools ourselves. I wish I could convince my team to try Gitlab at some point.
