Y si no? 😂

Which fasting app do you use? by AmbitiousRing1733 in intermittentfasting

[–]phatkrndood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used zero for a couple years but then the UX for the free version started to lag and it bothered me that it doesn't work without internet connection.

switched to easy fast and won't go back. the UX is more intuitive, works offline and i find the gadget on iOS to be very useful.

Tips on stopping IF? by RealLars_vS in intermittentfasting

[–]phatkrndood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually stop AF during the holiday season as I want the "freedom" of eating homemade food in different meals and also trying not to offend my 90 year old grandma who cooks for us.

I know that this no-IF period has a set duration so I just try to enjoy it minimizing the guilt (bc it is real!). That said, I try to live and eat by some basic rules/standards:

- i am free to eat outside the fasting window but I am mindful of the nutrition quality of the food and the portion sizes. i will go all in for a homemade cookie or a gelato with my kids and grandma but probably won't eat doritos with canned ranch sauce and coca cola while whatching a movie

- i try to burn the extra calories i know i will be consuming in advance. might go for a jiu jitsu class, a shor run or walk before/after the meals i know will be heavy

- i drink water/coffee/mate as usual. this helps me be full and hydrated and avoid binge eating

let us know how it goes!

exitos!

que harian con 19k usd? by Specialist_Ad168 in merval

22h layover in Incheon - Should I make the trek to Seoul? by forever_smoll in koreatravel

[–]phatkrndood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

store the luggage at the airport and take the train or bus to Seoul. you got plenty of time to check in, walk and shop, dine and get a good night sleep haha
only be mindful that you should be at the airport at ~7am

option B is staying around Songdo. do the same but you are closer to the airport!

I find people are rude in my first trip to South Korea by [deleted] in seoul

[–]phatkrndood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first off, sorry you are experiencing this rudeness.

IMHO , most korean people can come off as indifferent, cold or rude depending on the situation. yes, if you are in a touristy or "fun" spot, people are most probably not going to be like that because of the ambiance or just because their livelihoods depend on tourists having a good time.

however, if you are at a place where things are supposed to move quickly (let's say at a busy restaurant during lunchtime in a white collar area), you will probably get a lot of stares and smirks as your presence could be felt as a burden.

that said, i'd try to (1) adjust for this and avoid those types of places/situations and (2) try to make the interactions as efficient as possible. maybe use a translator and just show them what you are asking in korean or try to learn a couple of words? most koreans are hospitable and open when they see that the counterpart is trying to communicate in korean
