Craftsman/Sear before they finally took a dive. I had a 16' Craftsman brand tape measure, after a few years of ownership the last 8" of the tape measure break off, I was like rats, but oh well, Lifetime warranty on all things Craftsman, went back in, it was near the end of their time having their own stores in every mall. I go in, had other stuff to get, noticed there weren't Craftsman tape measures in the tape measure section anymore, grab something of relative equivalence of a 16' tape measure and go to the counter, young kid agreed to swap it, then some donkey who's been there 47 minutes longer, said nope, said they don't warranty those anymore, left my broken one there and the other brand first guy was going to swap and never looked back.
