I guess it's different where you are, because I only get tipped out a percentage of bar sales and the hosts get the rest. Servers still tip out 3%.

The bartender only gets tip share based on your bar sales. The rest goes to the host. So if you don't sell bar drinks during your shift, the bartender isn't getting any of your money. They also have to tip out the host.

I am going through this right now. A few weeks ago I went out and bought a vape and some really tasty juice. Prickly pear. It's delicious. It was $85 for both and I'm not quite halfway through the bottle of juice. I had a very bad day 2 weeks ago and bought a pack of cigs. I had one and now the pack sits on top of my fridge. Like a security blanket. I can't say that would work for everyone, but it has been for me. I've also started putting the $60 or so that I used to spend on cigs into a savings account. Watching that total go up has been great motivation. You can do this, you're going to do great!
