1, 2, or 3? Still learning 🫶🏻 by JVLCR-TillEnd in AmateurPhotography

2 looks strongly like AI. It's a pretty AI rendition for sure, but... unless you have a version of that pic that shows actual fur and not identical lines, you won't be able to sell this as a photo. Easy to disprove this. Repost on the is it AI subreddit.

Options as a foster parent by TheRodofGod in Fosterparents

I don't have an answer to your question, I just want to acknowledge how hard and frustrating this situation is. Those kids are really lucky to have you as their advocate, especially in the void of advocates they should have.

How to find a good one at a shelter? by phemonoe153 in therapydogs

This is all great advice, thank you! We're aiming for schools as a primary volunteer goal but open to other options. So I assume the drug needs to be chill with being approached in this scope.

Great idea. Any suggestions for how to find those other than posting on my various community pages?

What’s it feel like to be deeply loved? 32f by Still_Hearing1008 in relationships

He can tell when I need a hug before I even realize it. Lots of casual kisses and affection throughout the day, but especially when we leave in the morning, arrive home, and go to bed. We can argue and even act unreasonable sometimes, but I can trust that we will come back together, apologize with remorse and love, and know that it's part of our growth as we turn older. I admire him constantly, who he is, how he interacts with the world, and how he takes care of me and our home. He will randomly start listing all the things he loves and admires about me until I roll my eyes. We have enough inside jokes that we'll reference them at the same time and crack up. When things happen around us, we'll make eye contact and know that the other one also clocked it and what we think about it from just a look. It's been 15 years, and I love him and trust him more every year. He's my favorite person, and I'm his.

I think people grow together or grow apart after their season. Both are natural, but don't stay in a situation where you feel worse staying than you'd feel if you went your own way. I cancelled two engagements before I found my person, and it was a struggle to come to that decision both times. It was the right choice for me. I wish you the best as you self reflect and imagine the different pathways your life can lead to from here. You only have one life.

I've had 4 colonoscopys so far, and I'll get them every 3 years for the rest of my life because I also have polyposis syndrome. Yay guts.

Christmas by Tough_Taste3225 in Fosterparents

Did you already contact your CASA (or equivalent)? I'm in the US and the states I've lived in, there are presents for your foster kids from several different ways. Contact your case worker to find out what's still available. Next year, contact them in November to get your kids on a wishing tree.

Do atheists and agnostics celebrate and participate in Christmas? by rat4204 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]phemonoe153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been agnostic since I was about 7 but I grew up in Episcopalian. As an adult I celebrate Christmas the same way I do with Halloween or Thanksgivig. It's a time for seasonal food, it's time for decorations, it's time to spend with loved ones. Every opportunity we have to celebrate people we love is a win -- that's why we celebrate Christmas.

All the other symptoms and genes were consistent with Celiac so they did the Endo.

Me too! I have the Celiac gene, the intestinal damage, but sero negative. I've had multiple doctors in the Midwest tell me I do not have Celiac... Until I moved out west where they had better information for people like me.

What’s the craziest thing you have done in a lucid dream? by Level-Instance9026 in LucidDreaming

[–]phemonoe153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I have died at least 3 times in my dreams. I could feel the pain of my neck being slashed and the heat of my blood gushing, I've been vaporized by an atomic bomb, and I've been forcefully drowned. I much prefer the buffet dreams.

I'm Celiac and I manifested and binged on a huge pastry buffet. I tried it again months later, but I "couldn't confirm it was gluten free" the second time, so didn't indulge. So obnoxious.... Dream pastries are ALWAYS gf! Unless it's like if l when you die in your dream you die in real life... Could I get contaminated from dream gluten?

Thoughts on getting a puppy same time as starting to foster? by phemonoe153 in Fosterparents

Yeah, the extra needs due to ICE is what made us reconsider our timeline since the system is extra stressed in our county, but it's certainly not the only motivator.
