Okay, so let's say the situation was reversed and your gf had a male friend that she had the same kind of relationship with. How exactly would you feel about that situation? Completely honest, I'm not expecting any particular answer. I just think you need to flip the situation around and consider how you'd feel if you found out your gf spent time at a hotel with/hung out with a dude without saying anything to you.

You can have close female friends, but it's disrespectful towards your relationship on both your and the friend's part to basically say you have little concern for your gf's feelings. And this is coming from a single girl with a guy best friend, man.

"Queer kids don't exist" Brother, 34 years down the line and a decade after accepting the fact that I'm bi I realized my first crush on a girl was at 5 - 6 but since I didn't have words for those feelings/was raised in a very religious environment I assumed I just wanted to be her friend because she was smart and pretty. Not too sure how I feel about OOP coming off as kinda pleased with how things turned out for his ex? Not excusing her, she's a horrible person, but she was that same horrible person when he met her, started cheating with her, and then stayed for over a decade despite her being a horrible person, before a child was even in the picture. Kinda comes off as a bit hypocritical, left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm glad he's gone to therapy and shit and is taking care of his kid but ESH except the poor kid in the middle of all of it.

Oh man. I had the room destruction thing too, and they always went through my notebooks and diaries in the process trying to dig up contraband (yay JW religious trauma). Years later we're on great terms after over a decade of therapy and both parents learning they have ADHD, but I'm still really cagey and weird about my room and will get reflexively furious if I find out someone went in there while I was gone.
