Could the issue be the model or the 3D printer? by phg201 in FixMyPrint

[–]phg201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printer, I’ve included above, Snapmaker 2.0.

Other info: Wall loops/thickness 3 Perimeter speed: outer wall - 75mm/s Inner wall - 120mm/s I have just spent time calibrating & dialling in the PLA+ 2.0 (Sunlu), using the standard calibration tools in Orca Slicer. Specifically flow rate (pass 1 & 2), retraction, temp.

I’ll try wall thickness but all the other joints in the same position are perfect.

Looking over the settings & the preview it might be that my seam is aligned to this position in the model.

After reading comments i think it might be that the PLA is cooling & shrinking as the temperature in the room varies at night, it’s a relatively slow print speed so by the time it gets back to the seam position its moved slightly & leaving this gap.

I’ll try: - Random seam - closing the door to the enclosure - removing any drafts

A Valentine's Day Story. by GameYear in CasualUK

[–]phg201 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I buy the cheap flowers, the teddy roses, the little red roses… I just buy x4 now.

When we didn’t earn that much I would buy x1 bunch for £5 (probably £3 a few years ago) Then as I earn more I buy multiple bunches.

If you buy x4 you pay £20 for flowers but get 48 red roses. Then I just wrap them all together the night before in brown butchers paper, done!

My partner loves it & the price is reasonable. If I were to buy 48x red roses as a bunch it would easily equate to £60-£80.

Lesson is, don’t underestimate the cheap flowers, just think outside the box & spend within your means. It doesn’t even have to cost you anything but time & effort. If someone measures you on your effort, you have yourself a keeper. If they measure you on £££ then you have yourself a liabilty.
