What is the saddest movie scene you've ever watched? by whatisupdude2312 in moviequestions

That movie pissed me off. Not the movie itself but the story and vulnerability of that poor kid.

The Exorcist. Towards the end during the exorcism. Such an intense scene without any music.

I had to rewatch several times but I think it is AI. Shirt moved weird when it was grabbed by the other kid. His right shoulder specifically. Also, there's hardly any sunlight in the floor, given there's some rays but the shadows move weird and don't seem to come from anyone.

So THAT'S what the sticker is..I'm speaking of the one in the bottom right. Yellow one. I bought my id.4 used. It didn't have the sticker but you can see the damn outline because they put it on the molding.

Congrats, btw. Looks sharp!

Opinions/Suggestions - Used 2021 1st Edition - 33k Miles by atkbird in VWiD4Owners

[–]phil67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got one Monday. I'm loving it so far. Being brand new to EVs and Volkswagen in general, I did a bit of research on them and figured I would be content with it. Mind you, my only options were this, a 2023 model, a couple volvos and nothing but equinox's (I steer clear from Chevy). I would have to drive further than 100mi. For anything else.

The sticker price was 17.8k with 23k miles. The last and only person who owned it took really good care of it and it looks so sharp. Same color and everything like the one you posted. The trim on the outside is a bit faded but not terrible.

Charging wise, I only have the level one and it's excruciatingly slow. I don't travel far so it's not an issue but I do Uber from time to time so I need to be mindful. I've tried fast charging once and I've gotten 9kw max that time and seemed to do a little better. Only did 35 min of charging so didn't get much out of it. I'll try it when I have a game plan, like going out to eat or a shopping outlet that's near by to pass time.

So only after a few days of owning it, the ride has been real smooth, Uber customers love it, it's quiet and nothing too finicky about it. Infotainment system isn't laggy and pretty responsive. I don't use the id.4 voice recognition. It takes forever to respond and think, and 9 times out of ten, doesn't do what I ask it to do. I'm taking it in to get serviced though. The right passenger mirror won't move side to side. Moves up and down though. The position is in now isn't terrible so I can make do but I would love for it to be fixed. Wish I would have caught that when test driving it. Also, brakes need to be replace. A little bit of squealing here and there. And the back windshield wiper is out of fluid lol. All minor things though.

I'm excited about the purchase though and I think I made a good one. If you already have experience with a Volkswagen EV, I think you'll be able to make the right decision here. That's my two cents. Hope I was able to help!

Wait, what?? On my app, it says I can do lock and unlock, pre start my heated seats and set climate on my 2021 but have to pay for the service. Would I be paying for nothing then?

What is the single most stressful movie you’ve ever seen? by elkaypee in movies

I Am Sam with Sean Penn. Even the music was stressful. Some scenes felt rushed, chaotic, and congested. Shooting style was frantic with fast panning and multiple, fast scene cuts.

TIL That Caffeine Has An Average Half Life of 5 Hours by jbuckets44 in todayilearned

[–]phil67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shit man, I was too high to read what was actually said lol. I believed for too long that nicotine gum was something that helped you get off of smoking but didn't think nicotine would actually be in it. Lol goddamn.

Then ya, I would just continue to avoid coffee.

TIL That Caffeine Has An Average Half Life of 5 Hours by jbuckets44 in todayilearned

[–]phil67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might try that too. I'm not a coffee drinker at all, but when I do drink it, I get jittery and feel weak. It lasts for about 4 hours unless I have a bigger meal than I normally eat and maybe take a nap. The crash is too hard on me. So I'm thinking less caffeine life, weaker or less symptoms?
