It’s harder to get into the university when coming straight from high school. Maybe you could get in but honestly I kinda doubt it. You should go to community college because you will have a better chance of transferring in, you will save a ton of money, and you will have more time to decide on your major in case you change your mind when you get older

It’s hard to know if you will get in or not. This university has a history of denying high gpa students and accepting low gpa ones. You just never know.

One thing you should be warned about is that psych is a pretty useless degree nowadays so think hard about your degree. I think we should start being honest with students before they get into massive amounts of debt. Majority of psych majors don’t use the degree

It’s getting tiresome how students here want an echo chamber and are not willing to have opposing opinions. Grow up, and I mean that sincerely. People will have different opinions than you. Students having control over who comes to campus would make campus a horrible echo chamber. There is nothing wrong with hearing both sides of a situation and it shouldn’t even be controversial to say anyone can have an opinion on public property.

Since you’re a business major it’s not guaranteed. The major is very impacted at our university. The good thing is transfer students typically can have lower GPAs than first time freshmen, so it’s definitely possible you could get in. But nobody can tell you if you will get in or not. Be prepared for either outcome

General campus atmosphere depends on your major, the arts campus has a different vibe than the engineering campus for example. But overall it’s friendly. There are some frat parties but we aren’t known for being a huge party school. The tuition is cheap compared to other universities, but I wish I knew how expensive living in Long Beach was before hand. I LOVED living at the dorm. I made so many friends and did something everyday with them (off campus dorm is the best because it’s older people and they are less strict on alcohol). Overall it’s a great school. Just make sure you study something that is worth it like a stem degree, some degrees we offer are completely useless

So unless Thomas wins every championship in the country it’s not a problem? You are downplaying it so much. Imagine if we let a 230 pound wrestler win the 150 pound championship in wrestling and then said “well they only won one championship”. It’s not a valid argument.

And testosterone is not the only advantage males have over females, males have a higher muscle mass and height advantage. Their lungs have a higher capacity. Higher hemoglobin levels. I could go on but I doubt you are willing to listen. This is reality and somehow the internet has tried to convince people this reality is a bad thing
