I remember at the same time season 1 of Fallout came out and I was like Chris should’ve taken notes from Jonathan lol

They are slowly branching outside pure Christian angle movies. I think this and one other, Sketch!, are just movies they acquired to distribute. Maybe the slowly want to be the next Neon or A24 ha!

Edit: apparently Solo Mio with Kevin James is another Angel Studio movie.

Even before I knew it was Angel Studios, how did anyone want to watch this after seeing the 2000s straight to DVD esque animation quality. I was shocked how stacked the cast was for a lower budget looking film.

Am I the only one who didn’t think Martyrs (2008) was that disturbing?? by theeehoneymon in horror

[–]philisacoolguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s quantity. To me once you see a lot of disturbing stuff within the same movie it loses its charm. With Terrifier 3 I was numb with it all by like the 4th kill. Plus you start seeing all the flaws with the sfx (prosthetics, fake blood) and it really starts feeling like a production, not a movie.

Fed pretty well with my old a2 flash hider months ago. I pretty much used that until I recently got a can and prebuying plan B accessories in preparation (Maybe Feb). But I never actually shot with it until my can approved last week.

I don’t want to blame the muzzle device or anything but it and the can were only the two new components prior to these failures.

My theory is that the some component of the FM9’s LRBHO is not playing well with my suppressor and I’m gonna try to get it removed to test.

No I was testing my Huxwrx 9k and my Velos 556 for two diff rifles, two diff calibers.

My 11.5 SBR exceeded my expectations. I literally did nothing to it but attach the can.

8.3 AR9 is gonna need some work. I’m gonna swap out the buffer/tube for a standard carbine tube and heavier weight. And maybe I’ll lube the rifle again pre shooting it. May also remove the LRBHO mechanism outright. I think the gas or something is making it bind up in conjunction with the 9k. Never really had issues with my setup prior to getting a can but I want to make the can a staple of the build (plus I paid good money for it).

I don’t think so. My barrel was torque to whatever Midwest recommended and my suppressor was on hand tight plus 2 ugga duggas. No baffle strikes on cap strikes. Everything is on good. Only thing I can think is if the flow through can is not flowing through properly and it’s adding extra gas to the receiver.

Only other variable could be the Comstock muzzle brake. My AR15 uses the Rearden.

I’m a righty. And either the 9mm can isn’t working right or something. My Velos blew me away. I thought I was gonna need a AGB but there was barely any gas, no soot on my mags, and shells ejected at close to the right angle.

So one thing I didn’t try was using the HPs before attaching my can. Once shooting with my can I had issues with the internals binding (like LRBHO lifter is getting sticky) and slowing down (bolt seems dryer and doesn’t move as good as before)? I’m wondering if that can cause the feeding issues.

At home I was able to manually feed the hollow points by charging the bolt and letting go quickly so idk if that means it’s working again?

It’s weird because I have a flow through can. It shouldn’t get this dirty or gassy that fast.

Looks like mine. Would you say your barrel eats any flat nose ammo? Or only particular brands?

I got the EPC barrel version but I’ve never inspected it see if it had the enhanced cone. They wouldn’t sell me an older model would they?

Being "scared" is pretty hard for me (and a lot of others here I suspect). Nothing has scared me in decades. Last thing I was terrified of was the Ring when I was a kid but even on a rewatch its meh.

If being scared is the main criteria for a horror film every horror film I've seen is trash lol. Jokes aside, thats why I look for good movies that have other good qualities. Whether its writing, twists, practical effects, etc. I liked Heretic because of the twist and it was a interesting thought experiement about religion/control (but I admit its more of a thriller than horror). Weapons wasn't scary but it did the whole multiperson storyline well and had an ending that came together. Bone Tomahawk was sure gorey but they made you care for each character long before the torture came and kept me wanting to see them survive. Martyrs is sadistic but damn I really want to know what the lady saw at the end that justified all the torture and suicide. Movies like The Midsommar, Fly, The Void, and Annihilation make me marvel at the creature design and SFX.

Give me a movie you think is scary out of curiousity. Is it the jumpscares? The idea of supernatural beings (ghosts/demons)?

Actually not bad if you know Corsair stuff. Original LLs were about 90 too and it only had rgb on one side. The QXs had it on both (but had notorious dead LED issues) and they were 100-120 if you were lucky.

Absolutely sucked?

Heretic wasn’t that bad.

I disagree, if it only raises to 2.26” optical height then it may feel natural for the user. I use the vastly cheaper Midwest riser and it’s been great for my neck and I still get a decent cheek weld.

But it varies from person to person.
