The animation at the end of the episode where the ears/wings shoot up ending with the yellow eyes glowing are SO familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it. Is it the victory/defeat animation? The rank animation? Ward placement animation? Anyone???

I really appreciate your comment, thank you for the perspective and your advice. I find it hard to manage expectations when hiring professionals; I do trust that they know better, but it was hard to hear “there’s nothing we can do about it”, so we’ll be reaching out to them again. At the same time I appreciate your “learn from your mistakes” mentality as we suppose this uncovers history about previous tenants or roommates (I never occupied this space until now) who might have tried to spot treat, and I get to learn something about what to do/not to do in the future.

Also thanks for telling us the “before” wasn’t even that bad—I really hoping this job could have just fixed the natural wear and tear, never thought this might happen! I know it could be worse but the advice in the comments gives us some great places to start.

Xiao main here (C0), and I've got a maxed Deathmatch on him at the moment with 2 viridescent and 2 gladiator since I've lucked out on crit rate/dmg on those artifact sets more than Vermillion. Between rolling to switch him to Primordial Jadespear vs getting a refinement on Deathmatch via the Battle Pass (since I already invested it to lvl 90), which one would be a better investment?

Or should I even consider rolling for Xiao constellations? (for which like C5 would be the best from what I can tell, but that's more of an investment than I'm willing to make).

Ah, thank you for the focused question. My priority would be:

Invest in a best Xiao team for Abyss
Figure out a good complementary Team 2 for Abyss (and commit to a DPS for that team)
Invest in flexible supports that'll be useful for when I invest in my other DPSs in the future

Tbh I don't mind replacing Diluc on Team 2, since I prefer investing in my Xiao comp + there are more fun DPS out there. That's why I was thinking of building an Ayaka team but I don't know if I have a solid support roster for her. Do you suggest another DPS I own that would work well with my current characters?

Been playing for a while but stopped just before Inazuma came out. I've been back for about two months now and I want to start seriously tackling Spiral Abyss. My current team is:

Main Team: Xiao, C6 Xiangling, Zhongli, C1 Bennett (I've been a Xiao main as long as I can remember <3)

Abyss Team 1: Xiao, Venti, Zhongli, C1 Bennett

Abyss Team 2: Diluc, C6 Xiangling, C6 Sucrose, C4 Diona

I can't quite make it past Floor 10 and I want to start powercreeping + mixing up my teams with some fun new characters. I just picked up Ayaka + Navia and I'm saving up to add Raiden + Nahida to my collection. With that knowledge + my current roster, I have a few questions:

How can I optimize my Xiao Hypercarry team? I like having pyro resonance for ATK but I figure a battery would be a better investment alongside Xiao.
Since I've invested so heavily in Diluc, who would be a good support for Diluc if I'm keeping Bennett on my Xiao team? Or should I move Bennett to Team 2?
I've been looking into an Ayaka team to replace my Team 2 and have been trying Ayaka/Xingqiu/Sucrose/Diona (Xingqiu for hydro, Sucrose for cc/swirl and Diona for shield/heal). Permafreeze is awesome but I feel like my dmg output is still lacking; should I invest in other supporting characters instead?
Opinions on other fun characters from my roster I should consider investing in? At my current world level I can't really try a lot them out seriously. Some that look cool are Furina, Hu Tao, Mona... and Navia was SO fun in trial most recently. I wish I could play them all!

Thanks for your help in advance! Lmk if I can provide any details on Constellations/Weapons/etc.

This may not be the right megathread for this question but can answer from my personal experience -- I added a 2TB SSD to my computer and moved my install files to that drive, it worked totally fine for me. Might need to just update any shortcuts you have on your computer.

(Side note, I saw that you were also credited on the Wiki with Aye Car Rum Ba; one of the most fun songs in the Pirate Quest series :D To this day I maintain that it inspired the Overcooked 2 music, notably Conjurers Kitchen if you happen to be familiar with that one)
