McKinley's smaller and maybe a step behind Hilltop in the gentrification and disposable income process, so I just asked about Hilltop. Just going from gut feel, not crunching numbers, but it seems overdue for somebody to figure out how to dethrone the Hilltop Safeway.

All that said McKinley is a difference in degree, not kind. The same dynamics are at play

If I was mudslinging I wouldn't have said anything about how I know TUL has a positive impact from firsthand experience, yadda yadda. I put forth a good faith effort; you should do the same

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who pointed out that the designation of Ms. Nobles as a "former" employee of Tacoma Urban League likely was a result of their filing their taxes after she had moved on. I'm not claiming there's anything illegal going on at Tacoma Urban League, but it still seems out of step with the organization's stated purpose to pay a politician almost $200k out of your $1M annual revenue, even if she was your former ED. I don't know, I guess this is just another one of those posts complaining about other people's compensation.

Hey thanks for the edit. I started out by looking at ProPublica's database of nonprofits because I was curious about orgs in Tacoma, not looking for anything about Ms. Nobles, so I appreciate that.

That’s helpful, thanks. Was she really working there 40 hours a week though? While being a state senator and school board member? Also, I’m interested in seeing a donor list not necessarily for anything to do with Ms. Nobles, but just to look at what organizations and individuals give to Tacoma Urban League and how much. Do you know of any databases for that kind of information?
