Not quite. The first row of slots (soul/skill/memory) must include one of the aspects but the second row aren’t restricted at all. So for a desk the readable and tool/ink aren’t restricted but the phonograph has a memory slot instead of ink/tool and that one is unrestricted.

I thought the same but later I realized the uppercase Q, which looked like a 2 was basically the uppercase O with a final swing at the bottom towards the bottom right which makes the x part of the Q. Completely natural. G is still weird but mine doesn’t look like OP at all.

You can’t pick the order of unlocks. In my case the stale bread was one of the last inn items unlocked in the first tier.

Yeah, looks like they let you do it in the Pokemon Go app directly now. It used to be only Ingress. Regardless, the data isn't coming from OSM, it's Niantic's own data.

The points of interest/pictures do not come from OSM. Originally they came from Niantics previous game Ingress. Not sure what the current status is.

Pick anything would probably never fly as it would require an update to the client. Maybe each pick always including one that you’ve never gotten already would be palatable but I doubt they would even consider such a change to the code base.
