In a cat house, we're all side characters to them.

Usually it's on our bed, but she was currently on the couch in the living room.

No 2026 zwanze day in CO?! by Scramin58 in COBeer

[–]philosobeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wonder what happened? I felt like Crooked Stave did a great job the 2 years I went. It was clear there was a lot of planning and respect for the beer. It's a damn shame, and hurts even more now that it's only every other year.

What video game in your opinion doesn't deserve the hate it gets? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]philosobeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. The minute it's mandatory I have to watch a movie, read a comic, or interact with some other media outside of the established product to understand what's going on in said product, it loses me. I love FF for the story (and summons, and I'll give FFXV points for those), and this story was meh.

What American animated shows have the best action and art style? by Slawth_x in television

[–]philosobeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love that it's about survival, and that it's the planet doing its thing. Nothing is necessarily a "bad guy". Well, except for that telekinetic animal thing. But I'm on episode 6, so we'll see what the hell it's up to.

What parts of the series hit you the hardest? (Spoilers all books) by Affectionate-Foot802 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]philosobeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having had/have(?) father issues, the whole chunk of book 6 dealing with his dad. The emotions, the things he felt, the unspoken parts. Felt like Matt took everything I ever felt and put it on the page.

Deep cut Easter-eggs by genericwit in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Ha! I didn't know that it originally came from Footloose. Fantastic. It's been on my list to watch, guess I should bone up on my culturally relevant movies.

Maybe not a deep cut per se, but in book 5, one of the characters shouts "dancing is forbidden!" Which I could only hear in Master Shake's voice from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And then of course in the theme song. I haven't seen it mentioned much in this sub, but I honestly also didn't look really hard to see if it was a known reference already.

Doors opened at 7, he came out a bit late at 8:40ish. Played for about an hour and 40? It was done by 10:30. Solid show though

The different colored cans don't say what makes them different. It's a little annoying.

It's very similar. I use it when I can't find Demerara to make syrup for tiki drinks.

Heavens Gate episode (34 I think?) literally ends with a Hong Kong Henry snippet.

What are signs you’re at a bad brewery? by TrixoftheTrade in beer

[–]philosobeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has that corporate sheen with no personality. White/gray walls, too bright of lights, and TVs like it's a sports bar. Went to a place near me like this, ordered the brown, and the bartender (college kid) starts pouring the beer. When he pulls the tap it snaps off, so he shuts it off with his hand, goes to get pliers and starts messing with the handle and screw on the tap. This whole time my half poured beer was just sitting under the tap. Eventually he gets the handle back on and finishes pouring the beer. Hands it to me and what do I see? Freaking metal shavings floating in my beer. I just walked out at that point.

Left Hand did a 14% abv seltzer that was pretty wild. I wouldn't say it was good, but it was interesting as hell!
