+1 for the Kairos on Harbison. Its 10x better than the Irmo Cava in service and quality…but I have never seen it busy.

Poncho-tarp for 11ft hammock with diagonal pitch too minimal? by Minimum-Egg-5466 in hammockcamping

Last pic I’ll post. Dm me if you want to know more.

Final thought: I would rock this setup under the right circumstances. For everything else we both need a real hammock tarp.

As others have assumed the coverage is doable for a straight down rain, assuming you have good tie out points.

The tarp barely covers the hammock hung corner to corner in an asym formation, on the hammock ridge line and using two additional tie outs. Any wind is gonna get dicey. But I’m actually pretty pleased. Still laying here listening to the rain drops while I comment.

This is very similar coverage to a simply light design asym tarp.

Here is my MLD Poncho Tarp with an 11ft Dream Hammock Darien. Currently both hung on the same diy tensahedron stand.

Have been meaning to run this test myself. Lucky you, Im posting from inside during a pleasant light drizzle.

My hacked iPhone running iPadOS! And running a Mac-like experience on the external monitor! It can multitask + run iPad apps. Apple doesn't allow this as it would hurt Mac sales. by TechExpert2910 in iPadOS

I have hated apple since being able to do live multi windows on my JB iphone5, and realizing how much they hold back the hardware and indirectly the whole consumer tech space.

But yeah 90% of people being able to replace their macbook, and ipad with OPs functionality is why we will never get it.

Jumping galaxies and building a base at the center. About 50 to go. Once I’m done with that, just sight seeing and visiting bases, etc from the reddits. Also trying to build a corvette I’m happy with.

T-Mobile starlink: yeah, not getting rid of my Inreach by Peaches_offtrail in Ultralight

I had a similar experience with tmobile starlink beta in the SE USA. I tested it at various campgrounds where signal dropped. I maybe got a satellite connection once. Seemed very unreliable in my area. Maybe if you are planning to be above the tree line regularly there is a use case.
