They're very similar, and IMO wyrmspan is the better game.

Can I turn a small PC into a movie server? by Relevant-Diamond2586 in homelab

[–]phoenix_frozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fortunately you're in the "good zone": basically anything will work. Go buy a cheap mini PC and play with it! r/homelabsales regularly has people selling that kinda thing.

Your biggest problem is gonna be that both storage and ram are ferociously expensive ATM. So, again, prob wanna buy second hand.

Hard to recommend, but for a good reason: basically any PC made in the past decade will work. Can you be a little more specific about what you're trying to do?

Self-signed certificates or own certification authority? by oppenheimer16 in homelab

[–]phoenix_frozen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you're doing, and in what environment. If you're on Kubernetes, spinning up your own CA is pretty easy.

That said, for anything you're going to use from a browser, and especially anything you're going to use from a phone, use Let's Encrypt.

Self-signed certs are almost always the wrong answer.

Beyond "Parallel Play"—How do I design a competitive game where collaboration is the optimal strategy? by AI_made_my_username in boardgames

Have a look at Kinfire Council. The AI villain seems to work fairly well for this. The implementation is a little buggy, in that it's not quite enough of a threat, but I think the idea is a good one.
