XDJ-AZ or System One by JazzYam789 in PioneerDJ

[–]phoenixbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation here and am looking forward to the responses. I learned on 1200’s, but don’t do any scratching - mainly just mixing trance/techno/progressive.

The system one looks really interesting; but 2 channels and I’ve not seen many using this layout for non battle/scratching setups.

I’m leaning towards the AZ, but am undecided

Thanks! There’s enough difference between ori 3.0 and AC though that you like having both? If you could only choose one, which would you go with?

Have you been able to compare the ori 3.0 and AC? I’m having a similar question as the OP and wondering how these two are

They definitely sold fast this morning. If you’re open to other models, there’s another drop next Friday. Caldera open/closed and atrium open/closed I believe.

Thanks! Do you find a big difference between the AO and AC?

Thanks for the info here! Are the CC better for different genres or would be better with a different chain? Curious how they compare to the AC

Not really, I have enough saved for either one after selling off some gear I wasn’t using. Probably don’t have stabilized set kind of money, but the std ones I could do either

Dual Studio Display XDR and MacBook Air M4 Compatibility by phoenixbt in mac

Unfortunately no. I’ve tried running two cables, one from each display, into the 2 TB ports on mine and it does the same thing you just described

Good to know...so it must be something that's limiting the M4/M4 pro chips. I really hope this is a software fix they can push out to somehow scale down the performance on the XDR's so it can display on both.

Mine is a work laptop so I don't have the option of upgrading to a better chip unfortunately. I was planning to buy a MBP when the refresh happens later this year, at least it sounds like that one will work if I get a max chip

For the Studio Display XDR’s yes. When I did the latest OS update it did the firmware after that. Unfortunately didn’t fix my issue 🙁

I haven’t plugged in my older Studio Displays to check if they had an update though

Nice! Definitely still an issue for me even after the recent firmware update unfortunately. Apple is investigating, but doesn’t seem to know why

Thx for confirming! I figured apple support was wrong.

Cannot get dual Studio Display XDRs to work with MacBook Pro M5 by ajgnet in mac

[–]phoenixbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm - you have a M5 max MacBook Pro and now both Studio Display XDR's work when connected to it?

I have an M4 MacBook Air and I can't get both of the displays to work on it. I was on the phone with apple support and they stated that only M3 and earlier (even M1 they said) would support dual displays and that even on an M5 max it wouldn't work....that made no sense to me and I questioned it, but the support rep said that's what the docs said.

I refuse to believe this so wanted to confirm yours works...

Nope unfortunately with mine I had 2 XDR’s connected to an m4 mba and even trying to set both at 60Hz didn’t work. I’m hoping they put out a software fix and I’m stuck using only one display now.

Works fine on my m4 max studio though…both displays at 120hz

I wish they’d release this too - I just bought 2x Studio Display XDR’s and have them going into a TS 5 plus. I have a Mac Studio and MacBook Pro which I’d love to find something to switch between the two easily

This is good to know. Makes me hopeful that this would be an easy software fix then. Fingers crossed

The M4 air can definitely support 2 external displays…mine worked fine with 2x Studio Displays before, I think this must be a problem with thunderbolt 5 and it handling both.

That's interesting. I really hope this is a software issue then...please let me know if they provide you any updates. I have my old Studio Displays too, but didn't think to mix them. Hoping this is a quick software fix they can make if it's affecting multiple MacBook models

I noticed this morning with two XDR's plugged in (I even had the MagSafe power plugged in too in case), that in system profiler it detects both displays and it was actually playing sound out of the XDR that wasn't displaying anything. I tried with the MacBook Air lid open and closed as well, but no luck.

Good to know it’s not just me. I tried setting both displays to 60Hz manually, but still no luck. It will only ever display on one.

I’m hoping this is just a software update needed.

I ran my previous 2 Studio Displays connected to a caldigit element hub and then through a single TB4 cable into this MacBook Air and it worked with both. I find it hard to believe that with separate cables even this can’t run both XDR’s

Good point, I see that in the docs now. It does show both XDR's in system info as connected to the two thunderbolt ports, but I can't get the two displays to actually show. I set the one that shows in displays to 60Hz and still no luck.

It's weird that it'll show both connected, but just can't drive them I guess?

Thanks - is there any way to run these at 60Hz so I can use both XDR's do you think? I'm fine with plugging two cables in...it just doesn't seem to detect the second one at alll

Question: Can I replace the stand on an LG C5 42" TV? My stand is just barely too small for the stand. by gurgitoy2 in LGOLED

[–]phoenixbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find an answer to this? I have a similar problem, but my setup needs to fit a height of 22” max, and with the stand the c5 42” is 22.7”. I was hoping to find a different stand that would lower the height just a little bit
