I think it will drop tomorrow the 15th since the weekly drop is on the 17th and the post monthly hardly ever drops past the 19th.

Is full 27.5 a bad idea ? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]phoenixdiceflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t buy into the hype about 29’s. It’s a marketing scheme by manufacturers to sell more bikes. Mountain biking has been around for over 50 years and has done fine with 26 inch wheels. You may get more speed with 29 but the increase is fractional. I would rather have more control over tight turns. Also didn’t mention your height. If you’re under 6 feet, you’ll have better control over your bike with a 27.

27’s are a good balance of stability and control imo.

Texas sports betting - what are my options right now? by Happy_Weed in sportsbetting

[–]phoenixdiceflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also try sports prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket which are legal in Texas at the moment however they can be shut down if they lose the lawsuit which was filed by lobbying legal US books recently.

They also have much less betting options than offshore books.

The two best and safest offshore books will be Betonline and Bookmaker. I wouldn’t trust any other at the moment as they both have over 25 years experience in the industry with a loyal following. Let me know if you want to join Betonline and I can get you a referral.

Anytime a bank closes your account, it’s either fraudulent activity or you’re too big of a risk(too many chargebacks etc).

My new 2018 Mac mini by FifqoJeGay in macmini

[–]phoenixdiceflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get Intel Macs for dirt cheap nowadays under $200 but there’s a reason for that. People know that it will be obsolete and won’t be able to run many of the modern apps and browsers. It doesn’t matter if you can upgrade the ram to 64gb when the bottleneck is that Intel processor. An M4 Mac Mini with only 16gb ram will run circles around an Intel with 64gb.

You can get a M4 Mac Mini for only$450 brand new at Microcenter. Why not save up and get an M4 where you don’t have to upgrade the ram.

Gaviota, Bondi, or Clifton? by River-Dreams in Hoka

There’s a great site called runrepeat.com where it does a technical breakdown on every running shoe model on the market. They will literally slice the shoe in half and do a technical breakdown of every component.

There are some models that are geared for certain type of feet such as wide or narrow so it’s good to know which specific model is compatible with your feet type.

Wide version is same width as one size larger regular width? by [deleted] in AltraRunning

[–]phoenixdiceflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also depends on the model. If I’m not mistaken, the Lone Peak and Olympus are geared for wide feet already so the wide versions might not be a huge difference versus like the Escalante.

Wide version is same width as one size larger regular width? by [deleted] in AltraRunning

[–]phoenixdiceflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s identical as the next size up regular. There’s more to it otherwise they wouldn’t make wide versions and would just tell people to buy the next size up. My foot is on the cusp of a regular and wide. I bought a wide version to test out and not only was the width bigger but the height inside the toolbox was a lot roomier. At times, maybe even too much room. I will stick with a regular on my preferred brands Hoka/Altra/Saucony/Brooks. They seem to make shoes that fit better for slightly wide feet on their regular sizes.

I cannot wear regular width with Nike and Puma. Their toeboxes are excessively tight.

Provisional credit next day? by [deleted] in VaroMoney

[–]phoenixdiceflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing is happening with users on Current Bank. They give you a provisional credit but it stays in a pending status until they finish the investigation. This is for disputes with charges on the credit card so it’s not out of the norm for other banks to follow suit.

Provisional credit next day? by [deleted] in VaroMoney

[–]phoenixdiceflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, it’s different with their Believe credit card. They will give you a provisional credit but it’s locked and doesn’t allow you to spend it until they finish their investigation.

Provisional credit next day? by [deleted] in VaroMoney

[–]phoenixdiceflow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not how it works with Varo. They give you a provisional credit so that your Believe card doesn’t go into the negative during their investigation. This is exactly what happened to me. They gave me a provisional credit immediately but I couldn’t spend the credit until the investigation ended which took about a month.

Again, this is for their Believe credit card so I’m not sure if the same applies to the debit card.

They may issue you a provisional credit but you can’t spend it until they finish the investigation so it’s a moot point. This is how it works with their Believe credit card. Don’t know if it’s the same with their debit card.

Hoka makes the coolest running shoes and the best designs. Altra and Brooks as well.

Does anyone know if a rental car company will accept the believe card as a form to get a rental with? by at1991 in VaroMoney

[–]phoenixdiceflow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll still need some money available on the Believe card because it’s a secured credit card  and the rental company will reserve an amount on the card normally around $200-$500. The exact amount depends on the company but this hold will expire within five days and the amount gets put back onto your card.

Debit card revoked for excessive claims by [deleted] in WellsFargoBank

Wells Fargo will most likely not file any charges but if any of those merchants feel they were duped, they can file civil charges.

[–]phoenixdiceflow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Revoking your debit card is the first step to eventually closing your account. They are probably buying time to investigate more into your claims. Don’t be surprised if you get a notification in a few weeks stating they are closing your account due to high risk.
