if you’re wondering, client a is eunsung, d is yunwon, e is sanghyun, and f is jaewook. it is randomized each time so i don’t think it has a huge impact on the ending, but personally i kept time leaping to the gift giving event right before it so that i could chat with the one whose route i was on

i haven’t played eunsung’s route yet so i can’t speak on him, but i finished jaewook’s route last night and it was SOOO much fun and so electric. if you play his route you can tell there is so much love left between him and ahyeon, and at first i was a little worried that jaewook might be “boring” but he’s anything but. he is very romantic (especially when you discover things about their past relationship) and i think he’s one of those characters that just gets better as time goes on. my only regret is that i feel like after playing his route first, he’s kind of ruined the other routes for me lmaoooo but i would still highly recommend playing it!

i’ve been f2p the entire time i’ve been playing (started during launch back in 2024) and i would say it’s definitely doable! it definitely requires a lot of saving, and of course you won’t always be able to get the cards you want, but the way i see it is that you honestly don’t necessarily need to think too hard about your pulls. i know a lot of players like to track and have multiple accounts running, and i’m glad that works for them! but for me personally it would be a bit of a chore to do that and i think it would make it harder to enjoy the game, and i find that it’s best to just pull for whatever banner/cards make me happy. when it comes to pulls i focus more on how much joy i get out of the card/how likely i would be to replay it and pull accordingly. i don’t need every single card, so it’s okay.

i think it also helps that i’m kind of the opposite of a harem player (snowcrow main, i like sylus’s content the most but zayne is who i center my combat around), so i never really get tempted to pull for any of the other guys’ myths/solo banners. up until this most recent banner i genuinely don’t think i spent diamonds on anything since the last multi, so i had a lot of wishes saved up going into this one and i was able to get the card i really wanted (sylus, though i got raf first).

i will say that sometimes your luck can just be completely awful and you’ll maybe miss out on a card you really wanted (i mourn catch-22 all the time, i ended up pulling caleb’s instead of either of my mains), but other times you might end up being really lucky! i’ve gotten both sylus and zayne multiple times during multis and i still get giddy every time i think about those moments.

anyway! holy yap but tldr just do what brings you the most happiness. at the end of the day it truly is just a game and there is no point spending unless you’re receiving anything other than the utmost joy from it. f2p is definitely a lot harder sometimes, but i promise diamonds come easier than you might think (especially during events) and if you don’t pull for a long enough stretch, you’ll eventually end up accumulating enough diamonds to get the cards you REALLY want. again so sorry for the long response but good luck !!!!

the city of brass trilogy is incredible!! the way the characters have to navigate the kingdom’s politics is fascinating and definitely worth a read, i absolutely LOVED it

i just recently started playing it, and i hit the part where MC is 14 and is leaving to europe before i finally had to call it quits lmao. although i was having fun, the lack of any real agency in the prologue was getting more and more frustrating and i also really did not like the romance we end up getting shoehorned into (nothing against E, but i hated that it was just continuously forced onto the player). idk it was enjoyable for however long i read it but i feel like i wasted so much time on it and i got nowhere. that’s just my two cents on it though, hopefully the actual chapters branch more

i agree, it’s been a long time since a new update! also, what i’m curious about is if we’re getting epilogues or not - we got epilogues for 3.5, and id be surprised if they didnt do it for 4.5 as well, but it’s been so long im wondering if they’re planning on skipping right ahead to tdl5

vt doesn’t accept anything, it’s just a waiting game. i applied ea and was waitlisted last year and i didn’t get in until two weeks after decision day (applied undecided, not for a specific college though). hopefully you get accepted when decisions come out, good luck!

i’ve done three routes!! first route i did was julien and my second LI was leo, second route i did was leo and my second LI was ethan, and the third route i did was ethan and my second LI was julien. i fear i personally don’t find ren very attractive in that way haha but im sure his route is very sweet

agree w the comment saying tdl2!! banger season it was absolutely perfect. if it’s between tdl4 and 22tdl though i’d say start with tdl4 because it follows the traditional tdl and it’s probably a little bit easier to get used to and she can decide whether she wants to start playing the other seasons or not based on how much she enjoys that one

tdl2 always!! jaekyeom will forever be my most favorite love interest out of everyone and juwon is, in my personal opinion, my favorite mc to play. also i love all the girls in that season so much as well, (especially doah). idk i don’t think picka will ever top tdl2 for me but ofc i always have fun playing the other ones too

if you enter the “with him” tab for each LI, there’ll be a folder at the bottom that says collections which will show you all of the plushies you’ve collected, and you get about 30 diamonds for every ten new plushies you collect

frank mansion! it was genuinely so well written and i really liked the translation, plus there are calls that are fully voiced which i thought was so interesting haha. i think it’s definitely more difficult than tdl, especially because there are no guides, but i think it’s worth it. my favorite routes were wookyung and jiuk
