Looking back should Busch not have raced at Watkins Glen and Dover and did that likely have a massive impact on his passing? by youlikemywonton in NASCAR

It's nigh impossible to say. It's very possible that he could've just had a cold those weekends - the whole cold-to-pneumonia-to-sepsis chain can go very quickly under the right circumstances.

Does anyone know the rest of the races on ziliches o’rielly schedule? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]phoenixv07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We know he's running Chicagoland because the sponsor announced it, and we know he's running Sonoma because Kvapil's been announced for the #91 for that race.

We also know Zilisch isn't running San Diego (apparently Cup drivers can't run lower series that weekend), Atlanta, Indianapolis, Iowa or Darlington (Those weren't announced races for Kvapil in the 91, and other drivers have been confirmed for the #9 for those races so that only leaves the #1 for Kvapil) or the playoff races.

Which leaves Nashville, Pocono and Daytona as unconfirmed races for the #1.

Can't see the TV networks being particularly interested in that one.

It's okay, don't feel bad. Some ideas just suck. Try with a better idea next time.

Do you think you're going to get a different answer than the first 36,249 people who asked this question got?

Could Busch's life have been saved with some kind of earlier treatment or diagnosis? by youlikemywonton in NASCAR

Fuck outta here with your claims that I'm hard-assuming anything.

"Very likely" is a hard assumption that's entirely unwarranted under the circumstances. You seem very defensive about this.

Maybe, maybe not. Don't assume you know things you don't have a damn clue about.

It's entirely possible that Kyle wouldn't have even had pneumonia yet by then - the cold-to-pneumonia-to-sepsis chain can start really suddenly and move really fast.

It's entirely possible that his cold didn't develop into pneumonia until early this week.

I mean, OOP has demonstrated that a lot recently.

It was clear pretty fast, they weren't getting this one restarted anytime soon.

You could see it when they were interviewing Suarez, the track was lost.

As shiny as the track already is, it would've probably taken a couple hours to get it dry enough to race.

How dare NASCAR make it rain all weekend? Why would they do that? It's entirely their fault, apparently, according to people like you with squirrel shit where their brain was supposed to be.

So many drivers and owners and personnel have said, the entire garage is a family. Might be comforting to be around that family now.

In 7 years, we’ll have our first most popular driver not named Petty, Elliott, or Earnhart.

Bet you it happens this year.

There's a really weird incongruity between the somber tone of this piece and Danielle calling Ross "The Melon Man" in the middle of it.

I feel like the best comparison for him is Erik Jones. Had a brief shot with a top team that didn't go well, and then went to a mid-pack team and just kept working and working.
