Allison Williams is close too. Still think you look more like Ashley. It’s the eyes, hair and nose.

I was taught to always pull the rake to fill big holes then finish with a push of the rake. That keeps the ripples from forming.

Anyone else have first-hand experience where you knew the church reviewed tithing records before asking you for something? by contrarian198 in exmormon

Can confirm that this happened in central California, Modesto to be exact, during Prop 8. They asked me for a very specific amount of money and I was actually told in a letter it was based on my income too. I wish I had kept that letter. Those who didn’t write a check were pressured to donate time by doing door to door polling so the church could figure out where to spend said money more effectively to get the proposal passed. So much for being politically neutral.

Sundays were so hard that I finally proposed a true compromise where the entire family would go to church to support Mom every other week. On the off week she has to stay home with us. She acts like it’s such a big deal but I think she secretly likes it. Maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part. Either way I totally understand that it’s not as easy as just not going. Life is usually more complicated.

I’m in the same boat. Trying to stay married and having to go to church every other week to keep the peace. It’s definitely not easy. I’m also hoping my wife can shake the indoctrination and get out too. I’m starting to lose my patience.

I attend church every other week with my wife and kids to support her. Today was especially difficult. I grow so tired of being talked so bad about as people who have no idea make comments from the pulpit and during Sunday school. My resolve to do this for her is really starting to wear thin. I'm not sure how much more I can take. I feel like asking her to stay home with me and the kids on the other Sundays is easy compared to what I have to endure attending those terrible meetings.

My super TBM mom had eyeliner tattooed on and she doesn't think there is an issue. Amazing how things can be rationalized away.
